CLAY COUNTY SPEEDWAY
JUNE 20, 2009
Jimmy Bone,jr is 38 years old and lives in Greenville, Illinois with his wife Kimberly..Between the two of them they have a Brady Bunch Clan starting with the youngest: Amber, Erin, Brandon, Dustin, Jami Jo, and Kenneth....
Jimmy runs the #71 hornet which is a 95 Saturn... It has a 2.2 engine...
The reason behind his number: he said that if you take the #35 x 2 and add 1 better driver you came up with the #71...and also is the year he was born..... The #35 is the car number of his best friend Lynn Losh....
He claims Clay County Speedway as his hometrack and also his favorite track to run.......
He started racing last year in the hornet division and only raced 3 races ..
His inspiration to start racing came from his best friend Lynn Losh...and he is very competitive by nature..
The driver he most admires is DALE JARRETT
The driver he deems his toughest competitor is the #1x of Rance Carter
To be a good driver Jimmy says you need to have patience and ....a lot of hard work....
His goal in racing is to win a track championship...
One of his racing highlights was being able to place in the top five in his first race ever.....
Anything in racing he feels needs to be changed.....he said better tech of the cars...
He likes to race the low groove but tried the high groove and liked it..
He likes to race a dry slick track...
He is his own Crew Chief...
And like most the hornet drivers say....they all help each other out....
He wants to give a special thanks to his buddy Lynn Losh and to his wife Kimberly and to his daughter Amber...
Was nice meeting you Jimmy and I got to meet Amber up in the grandstand when she was doing her hula hoop.... she walked down the front of the grandstand and kept that thing going the whole time.... She told me that she had been in a hula hoop contest and won after keeping it going for an hour and five minutes.... I was impressed....
Goodluck in 2009 and on getting that track championship...
