Levi Kissinger is 21 years old and single... He lives in Mt. Vernon, Indiana..
He runs the #8 modified with a Larry Shaw Chassi and a Mark Cummins Engine...
The reason behind his number.....he said it just got picked...
He claims Tri State, Haubstadt, In as his hometrace... HIs favorite track to run is Tri City Speedway in Granite City, Il..
He started racing at age 14 in pro modified and went into the modified class at age 16.....he said he then took off for two years and came back ..This is his third year..
His dad Danny Kissinger raced late model and was his inspiration to start racing.............
When asked what driver he most admired he told me there were a lot of them...depends on what track you are at...
When asked who his toughest competitor was he repeated that it depended on what track you are at and added names Randle Sweeney, Chad Kinder, and Everett Bradham.....
To be a good driver he says you have to keep a level head....have patience and save equipment til the end....you can't win a race in the first lap...
Levi's goal in racing is to have fan......and to eventually move into a late model..
I asked Levi if there was anything in racing he feels need changing... He told me he thought they should do a better job of keeping the cars more on a more level field...and they need to tech better...
Racing Highlight for Levi was when he was in a race at Tri City and started the feature in 18th position and made it up to 5th and burnt up his tires.....and....he has also won ten heats.....
He likes to race the high groove ......He also likes to race both dry slick and tacky tracks....
