Jim Simon is 74 years old and lives in Covington, Ohio with his wife Kay.. They have two sons Steve and Chris...

He considered when he raced his hometrack as New Bremen, Ohio... He said it is now closed.... It had also been his favorite track to run..

Jim told me he started racing at age 16 in what they called old coops and raced them for about two years.... he then went into what they called at that time super modified...

I asked him what had inspired him to start racing... He told me he just liked it...

The drivers that he most admires are: JUDD LARSON and DON BRANSON

To be a good driver he said you have to have patience....

Jim said he always liked racing the high groove and on a track that was in between dry slick and tacky...

Jim told me when I asked if he had a highlight in racing that he was really never had any highlights.... He said that you need to have good equipment and he never did... He said he was just happy that he was able to do it...................***and Jim*** at 74 you still are.... you raised two boys who followed in their dad's footsteps and now two grandkids....... I would say you have plenty of highlights !!..
