What a great day for a race....got to the track about 4:30 pm..... Team #22 had just arrived as well....
As I was standing in line to sign in for the pit I had this pesty person bugging me as I was trying to write my name..
any ideas who that would be Chad Kinder ???? LOL..Once in the pit area I headed for Ryan Thomas's trailer so I could see Heather...

Her birthday had been this week and her mom knowing she does not like cake brought her a cake sized round chocolate chip cookie that was decorated for her ...and she had about six balloons for her...
While talking with her and her mom Team #22 pulled in next to the Thomas's...

I got an interview with two sprint drivers....
Blake Nimee who runs the #79 sprint.... what a nice young man.. He is only fifteen ..I think we will be hearing his name for a long time...

you will have to read his interview when I get it finished... I got a picture of him with his dad and one with his grandpa.... I don't know what i was thinking.... I guess I was not thinking.... His grandpa Bob Kammerer has a long history in racing.. I am going to catch him again and get an interview with him...
I also interviewed Josh Wise...He is 26 years old and is from California... He is going to be racing in this area for Sprint Week...

Tonight it was a makeup race including regular racing so I did not stay too long in the pit area... I went back to the bleachers to try and catch all the action...
Thanks to Joe Jeffries, the announcer and his girlfriend Karen I got the copies of all the heats and features.... Thankyou so much !!!!!! Sure did help...
After watering and packing the track they started hot lapping...then the sprint feature..
In the feature the #83 of Dale Christian flipped and I figured his night would be over...but.... he was able to come back out for the regular night of racing...after seeing him flip I was amazed...
The winner of this race was Josh Spencer..the driver of the #56... I interviewed him last weekend... very nice young man.... Roger interviewed Josh in winner's circle... he was so excited..said it had been a long time coming.... I was really happy for him....
Later we learned that in that race Josh had blown the engine and was done for the night....... too bad... i would have liked to see him repeat....

In the regular night of racing there were 30 sprints on hand...4 heats...
In heat one the #31 of James Williams flipped..he was ok...the #83 of Christian was in this heat but had to pull off before finish...the #90 of Budde and the #66 of Corey Smith dnf....only four sprints finished the heat: Riggs....Gentry....Hmeil....and Bulick...
In heat two the #37 of Josh Wise pulled off right away..finish: Shuman...Dodge...Fisher....Boyd....Shanks....Simmons
In heat three ... finish was Mitch Wissmiller....Bret Tripplett....Blake Nimee....Chad Branson....Nick Hanfland.........
In heat four the flagman did not like the start and throwed the yellow...it caused the cars to bunch up on the back stretch...the #99 of Weyant ran into the back of the car in front of him causing him to violently flip......thankgoodness he was okay....
finish: AJ Anderson...Logan Hupp...Altig....Vennard....East
In the consi they took four cars.... The #99 of Korey Weyant made to call...he started on the tail and made it up to fifth.... what a drive to the front......The #83 of Christian who had flipped in the makeup feature took the last spot to advance to the feature...
finish: Bobby East...Alex Shanks....Dale Christian...
In the feature not to far into race the #12i and the #67 crashed...the #67 had got high and spun out..the #12i had no where to go and got caught up in crash..both cars are out of race....cautions came out for the #5 who spun...caution for the #14x ofBulick who spins out...
Finish was Casey Shuman who comes from Arizona....Casey Riggs...AJ Anderson...Shane Nmiel...Wissmiller...Tripplett..Dodge..Shanks..Nimee...Gentry..East..Branson..Bl
and..Fisher...Boyd...Bulick...Hupp..Christian...Altig and Vennard...
In the modified makeup feature it was pretty upsetting for us Kinder fans....
Last weekend Tim Reynolds and Chad Kinder had battled pretty good with Kinder getting out in front ... he led for three laps before the rain came..... tonight he was on a rail..he got out to an early lead and was leading by half a track when he came upon lap traffic... I HATE LAP TRAFFIC............. the #74j car was all over the place.... Kinder tried passing him and the lap car turned into him..... Kinder got by and made a lap but you could see something was wrong..... later found out his axle had been broke....
.. very disappointing....the #01 of Don Kiger was smoking pretty bad...he ended up pulling out and he was done for the night....Tim Reynolds who had been riding in 2nd took the win with Ryan Thomas who had started in sixth took 2nd...Hufford 3rd..Schwartz 4th..McClara 5th....Gregory..Roger Cary...King...Kiger...Chad Kinder...Sandford...
I went back over to the pit area to see what was going on..... Chad told me the axle had broke ...was not too happy which was understandable....
On way to the pit area I ran into Tim Reynolds.... he told me he was happy to win the race..but would have rather raced Chad for the win then getting it like that..... Hey....a win is a win and Tim deserved it....

The regular night of racing. for the modified there were 17 cars..two heats...
In heat one finish was Chad Kinder....Gregory...Roger Cary...Schwartz...Reynolds, .. Hayden..McClara...Adams and King...
Chad started on the pole and led every lap to finish...
In heat two the #01 of Kiger dns.... Ryan Thomas and Randy Shuman start on front row....a caution came out for the #04 of Albright...the #74j of Sandford gets sideways trying to avoid the #04..both to tail..... on restart the #04 gets sideways again..no caution..he pulls off.......the #2f of Ferguson gets sideways and gets into infield but pulls back onto track to bring out the caution...
The #74j is all over the track...finally he spins out..it was 2nd caution for him so he is sent off the track...
Finish: Ryan Thomas...Ryan Cary...Shuman...Ferguson...Hufford...
In the feature Chad Kinder and Ryan Thomas started on the front row....Chad got out to a good lead and led for almost half the race....Denny Schwartz was riding the high side and kept picking off the cars.... he got around kinder and stayed there for the finish...Chad Kinder took 2nd, Ryan Thomas took 3rd...Ryan Cary 4th...Tim Reynolds 5th..Ferguson...Shuman..McClara...Roger Cary...Gregory...Hayden...Hufford...Adams...King....Albright...Sandford...
