I told them Howie had went to bed....ha ha ha...that didn't last ..they got him up....
This is why when we go out of town and stay in motels we try to slip into our room without being noticed and unplugging the phone...............***we have had late night visits before and unexpected phone calls in the middle of the night....
..When you travel with Team #22 you expect the unexpected.......and it is always FUN !!!!!!

Boy Sunday seemed hotter then ever and very humid..... it sure did look like rain...
Joe Jeffries and his girlfriend came by to see if we needed anything from the store but we didn't...........he is so thoughtful...
Will Snyder and Knappy are the two coffee drinkers in the Kinder group so they were over as soon as they got up and around ............
After they left Jamie and Luke came over on the four wheeler ....they needed some toilet paper for their camper..........WE KNEW THEY WERE FULL OF S***....LOL...
The Bare's arrived around noon and we all sit out and watched the haulers pull in...
About three Joe Jeffries came by and took me to the pit area....
as soon as I got there I went to Team #22 area to tell Chad Kinder where to go for his radio interview... got some pictures

I was told that this would be Gabe's last race....
He is selling the car.... I hate to hear this Gabe...... I tried finding him to get a picture but never did run into him....Was so glad to see Pam Leka.... we talked for a while and she told me she would get some pictures of Justin's modified and send them to me for the site.... looking forward to that... I went by their pit area later but she was not there nor was Justin... I did get to say hello to Jeff...

Jeff has been having a rough season so far but we all know Jeff Leka...and that will change soon....
I got interviews with Brian Lynn who was driving the #14 but his car is the #72..Jacoby Hines #15 modified....Scott Dunlap the #79 street stock.....Brent Londeree #99 modified....Jared Bailey #24 modified....Don Kiger #01 modified....Brad Barrow #21 modified and Kyle Logue who was driving the #11 but normally runs the #21 late model...
I passed Joe Jeffries as he was interviewing Ryan Thomas for his radio show... I missed Chad Kinder being interviewed...

I talked with Craig Conyer breifly and wanted to see his little guy "Gabe" but Bethany had already snatched him up...lol....
I got to meet Wes McClara's wife and also see Aunt Tina again... they had it going on at their pit area....two huge fans that really helped cooling me off.....and got to say hello to Karen Hayden again and to Jimmy...
I also ran into JR Dunlap and his wife.... he and his brother had traded weekends running the #79 a few years ago and then JR took over running it full time for the last two or three years...and this year.... his brother Scott is running the #79 and doing a great job...... JR has semi retired.... his 7 year old daughter is taking her turn at racing a quarter midget...... I think it is really killing JR not to be in a car though.... hope it works out where he will be back behind the wheel again soon...says he still works on the car as much as he ever did... just not driving it...
I found the #0x car parked over in the same area as Team #22....the modified of Steve Picou... he is such a nice guy.... I got some new pictures... I really like the looks of his car...

AND TO ALL who complimented me on the site......... I really do appreciate hearing that.... makes me know that what I do is worth it.... I know I love meeting all of you..each one of you I talk with...drivers, wives, kids , crew members are important to me...
Well by now I was very hot.... Joe Jeffries had offered to take me back to the grandstand but had not been ready...Dennis Waggle was going to also but was not ready.... now I was going to have to walk.....OH NO... it is a long way !!!!!! but...lucky me.......walking past the #7r group one of the Team Members offered me a ride on the golf car....hoooray!!!!!!!
Well.... it was still hot............but by the end of the evening can you believe I got cold... I like that better then being hot any day...
My friend Nicole Bare kept tabs of the qualifying for me and got the lineups for the heats....

The B12 got way out in front and hit lap traffic passing several cars.... about i/3 way back was Gary Cook,jr and behind him was Chad Kinder.... there was only one groove and pretty dusty..... the rest of the pack was a fair distance behind Kinder....
This track is usually more racey then it was by feature time ... but... you can't go anywhere to find any better racing then you did with these guys....
Looking forward to seeing my next race at Danville......
