Jake Simmons is 26 years old and lives in Terre Haute, Indiana with his wife Jessica and child Reese.....
He runs the #7s sprint with a F5 chassi and a 360 custom engine....
The reason behind his number..... he said his dad had raced with the #71.... so he dropped the 1 and added an "s"...
Jake considers his hometrack the Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana.. He also claims it as his favorite track....
He told me he started racing at the age of 21 and went right into a sprint....
He said his inspiration to race came from his dad Tim.....
To be a good driver Jake believes you have to have determination....
Jake's goal in racing is just to have fun.... and then added he would like to win tonight.....
I asked him who he thought was his toughest competitor and he told me everyone including himself...
When I asked him if there was anything in racing he would like to change he told me it would take a book for that....
Jake likes to run the low groove on a tacky track..
