Rich Robinson, jr is 36 years old and lives in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan with his wife Jeannie and has three daughters Katie, Danielle, and Heather..

He runs the #15 modified with an Extreme Chassi and a Foltz Engine..
He said the #15 was just a number he picked when he first started racing and it has just stuck with him...

Rich claims Mt Pleasant Speedway as his hometrack. His favorite track to run is Merrit Raceway in Upper Michigan..

He told me that he started racing at the age of 18 in the bomber class and went into the modified class in 1993...

When asked what had inspired him to start racing he said it was just something he liked to do. .. Loves being around it...

The driver that Rich most admires is STEVE FRANCIS... says he got to meet him and was a really nice guy....... I have to agree with that... Steve is a gentleman..

His toughest competitor is a local guy for him CHAD BAUER..

To be a good driver Rich said you need to be confident.... have a level head and to be able to judge race tracks..

His future goal is to win the UMP National Championship...

When asked if there was anything in racing he feels needs to be changed.... he like so many others......"MORE MONEY"...

Racing highlights that stand out for him has been being a two time Michigan State Champion...being a runner up for driver of the year and also winning Mechanic of the Year...

Rich does not care if he races the high groove or the low groove...Whatever is working is where you will find him. He also does not care if the track is dry slick or tacky.. He will race both...

His Crew Chief is JEFF GREEN

His Team Members are his wife Jeannie and his daughters Katie, Danielle and Heather...

Rich wanted to give a big thanks out to Afco Racing Products, to Black Jack Pizza and to Diane Wiggins who is with Odyessy....

It was very nice meeting both you and your wife.. You pulled a long way to race and then have it cancelled....but...you know at this time of the year that is always in the cards...
I do hope to run into you again and be able to watch you race.... goodluck in season 2009..
