When we arrived at Vermillion County there were already several cars in the pit area.. they just kept rolling in...
I was excited to find out SHANE COTTLE was there in his sprint... I wish I had went into the pit area tonight....but was just to tired after spending friday night at Kankakee and then ending night in Farmer City..
It was also announced that John Stambrough was in the house as was CHAD KINDER and DENNY SCHWARTZ...

The weather was great....but WINDY once again.... track looked really good.... food was good...ask my husband....
There were 36 sprints listed and 25 modifieds along with pure stock, street stock and crate late models..

Announcing by Joe Jeffries was very good and there is also a girl that helps out in the tower and is also very good...

My husband and I sit in between a group of sprint fans.... the gentleman to my left was very helpful with giving me names of the sprint drivers... His name was Mike Gouty..

I talked with Joe Jeffries and met the young girl that also announces... missed getting her name..
Was glad to see BJ McCammon and to get an update on his dad....His dad is doing great after a pretty critical situation from a sinus operation... They almost lost him but says now he feels better then he has for a long time.... That is great to hear...

The racing begins.....

For the modified...there were 25 cars ....three heats

heat one you had Cory Schwengel and Chad Kinder on front row , Marvin Burton and #Z56 2nd row; AJ Dixon and Roger Cary 3rd row; #66 and Tres Mehler 4th row and #4 on tail..
first caution came out for the #4 who goes over the burm in turn 3...before restart the #03 of Schwengel pulls off track....

Finish: Don Kiger, Jimmy Hayden, Hufford

heat three you had Tim Reynolds and Ryan Cary on front row; Jason Lakey and Gummere on 2nd row; 3rd row was McClara and Barker; 4th row was Josh Ferguson and Denny Schwartz

Kinder shot out to the lead but did not take long for Roger Cary to get around him...from the start to the finish Cary and Kinder battled it out with Roger winning the battle...very good clean race between the two of them.....
not too far into the race Wes McClara had slowed on track and had to pull off... I hated to see that....
