ELDORA UMP NATIONALS
OCTOBER 3 AND 4, 2008

Ronnie Chance is 36 years old and lives in Elkton, Florida... He has an eighteen year old daughter Tiffany...

He runs the #7s modified with a Shark chassi and a Walker Racing Engine...
The reason behind the #7s.......the "s" stands for the owner's wife's name "SARAH" and the #7 is the owner Don Wilson's favorite number...

Ronnie claims North Florida Speedway as his hometrack and also his favorite to run.........

He started his racing career at the age of fourteen in go carts.... went into hobby stocks at age twentyone......then went into a modified at age twentyseven..... he also raced late model at twentyseven and also raced some last year....

When I asked him what had inspired him to start racing ......he told me that he had started when he boot legged moonshine....then started laughing and said.."hey don't put that down..... ah oh...lol...... He said his daddy "Ronald Chase" had raced so he had been around it growing up.....
I told Ronnie I was going to put down that he was a "smart butt"....and he said but make sure you say I was a funny smart butt.............. and that he was.... I really had a lot of fun talking with both him and his car owner Don Wilson...

The driver he most admires is EARL PEARSON,JR.....

When I asked him what drivers were his toughest competitor he told me to come back to that question...said he had to think about it for a minute.... when we came back to it he told me Don Wilson, car owner...and Dave Barber....

I asked him what he thought it took to be a good driver and he told me patience...

His goal in racing ....#1 is to have fun....#2 he said is to win... siad he had a goal last year and he succeeded it....

Racing highlight that stands out for him was winning 11 features and 2 championships in 2007....

Ronnie likes to run the high groove but...says he passes more on the low groove especially where he runs at.... ....He does like to run on a dry slick track....

He is his own Crew Chief...
Team Members are: Don Wilson, Bill "Toby" Graham and Darren Walker...

Ronnie wanted to give out a big thanks to Don Wilson and to Bill VanZante..

Ronnie .. you were very entertaining !!! lol.... Seriously... I had a lot of fun talking with both you and Don.... really glad I got to meet the two of you..
