Bruce Gould III is 38 years old and lives in Melford, Ohio with his wife Reagan and his children Shelbi and B.J. IV....
He runs the #30 modified with a Bob Pierce Chassi and a custom built engine...
He claims Moler Raceway as his hometrack and his favorite track to run is Florence....
I asked Bruce if he had a reason behind his number and he told me it had been his dad's number....
Bruce started his racing career eight years ago (year 2000) and went right into a modified.....
I asked him what had inspired him to start racing ... He told me his dad....
He told me that it was really important to him to be racing at Eldora this weekend.. said he had never raced here before....
I asked him what driver he most admired.....and...it was his dad......"Bruce Gould,Jr"..
His goal in racing would be to one day be able to go to the World 100 and win it....
I asked him if he raced late model along with the modified.... He told me no ...and then he told me why he wanted to win that race and why it was so important for him to race at Eldora................/ Bruce told me that his father won the very first World 100 in 1971... and then he told me that his father had passed away in August... He said his dad was with him at Florence and had fallen and hit his head... he went into cardiac arrest .... .. my heart goes out to you Bruce... you could see that the two of you were really cose... I wish I had been fortunate enough to meet him.... if he was anything like you I sure would have liked him....
When I asked him who his toughest competitor had been he told me everyone....
Anything in racing he feels needs changing............the cost...
To be a good driver Bruce feels you need to have patience...
A racing highlight for him was winning the 2007 Brown County Speedway Track Championship....
He likes to race the low groove and a dry slick track...

Bruce told me he wanted to send out a big thankyou to his mom Joyce......and to his dad Bruce,jr...
Bruce.... I am so glad I finally got to meet you...sorry you had some bad luck at Eldora..but remember...this was your first time there....Eldora is quite a track...
I hope to run into you again.... and who knows.... it may be at the World 100..
