As soon as I got into the pit and headed to Team #22 area Tom Wieck introduced himself to me...........Was very nice meeting you Tom.... I thought I would run into you again... I wanted to do an interview with you.......but as I learned quickly..you were in a 101 places at one time ..lol....should have grabbed you when I had the chance.... next year I will !!!!

I was walking to Team #22 hauler when I heard "CJ"..... it was cute little Heather Thomas, wife of Ryan Thomas........ I had not seen the two of them since last season... Ryan and Heather started a new business this year R & H FABRICATION... their website is: http://www.ryanthomasracing.com/home.html
He builds the new Diamond chassi's.......

I made it down to the Chad Kinder group and asked if they had taken the nice detour out of Richmond to Ohio and back to 44.........they had.....I let them know that it was not closed between the track and Richmond and that we had went a long way out of our way by going to detour............ I am wondering how many did the same thing !!!!! Some of the local people told us it was open and did not know why it was showing a detour through there.........

While in the pit area I interviewed Todd Higgins #lc modified.....Clint Demoss #78c. modified .....Toby Hallett #1c late model.... and a part of one with Crazy Jack Henemyer..super stock driver #55............later in the bleachers I got on interview with Joe Petrey #27 super stock driver.....
The races were to start at 7 but didn't start til 8.......... I think they waited to let the sun set.... it was at least 90 if not hotter.....

There were 37 modifieds so there was 5 heats......taking top 3 to main...others go to c and b mains.......top 5 in c go to tail of b......top 5 in b to tail of Main.........no qualifying..pill draw...
The 1st and 2nd place finishers in the heats drew for top eight spots...

In heat one you had Evans and Herbert on front row with Taylor and Eads on 2nd row..Huddleston and Rahr 3rd row...Demoss and Denny Schwartz 4th row and tail was Combs...............on the start the #21s and the 7 make contact...Schwartz made it through without stopping...#7 of Taylor to tail...
On the restart the #18 of Huddleston shot out to the front with Evans, Demoss, Eads, Schwartz and Herbert......2nd caution comes out when the #7 spins for 2nd time..... the #7 goes off as well as the #195...
finish: Huddleston..Evans..C. Demoss to Main... De Schwartz, Eads. Herbert

In heat two the three to advance to Main are Matt Hamilton, John Demoss and Brad Wieck..

In heat three the three to advance to Main are Glenn Bradley, Doug St.Myer and #05

In heat four you had Whittaker and Tolson on front line, #3b and Chad Kinder on 2nd row, Griffis and Hood on 3rd row and #95 of Steve Shote on tail...
finish: Chad Kinder, Shawn Tolson and Griffis to main....Cody Hood, Shote and Whittaker.......
****I don't know how he managed but Chad was out in the front with Tolson behind him...going into turn two Chad started getting sideways...it was like the whole field went into slow motion mode ...Tolson bumped Kinder in the door but Kinder got straightened out and kept going without stopping....***

In heat five you had Haager and Ryan Thomas on front row, Douglas and Da Schwartz on 2nd row...Martin and #1 on 3rd, on 4th row was Anderson
finish: three to main are Danny Schwartz, Jim Haager and #1......#22t..Douglas..Martin

C-Main...
top five to B-Main

#32..Martin..#7...Cox...Rahr
****on start the #7 gets sideways and collects the #C75 and #11x..to tail...

B-Main
top five to A Main

Cody Hood....Denny Schwartz...Eads....Daryl Herbert....#22t

******at the start of the race there was a major crash in turn one involving #02,#29L, #195, #4, #14, #1c and a couple I did not catch...
