Joey Smyser is 27 years old and lives in Charleston, Illinois with his wife Kendra and children Alesia, Jade and Zoey.
He runs the #4s hornet which is a dodge neon rt. It has a 2.0 engine..
I asked him if there was a reason behind his #4........he told me that is # is normally #6...was his dad Dave's number...
Joey started racing at age 22 in the hornet division... He ran two years in the street stock division but then came back to the hornets..
His inspiration for racing came from his family... long history of racing....

To be a good driver he feels you need skill and a lot of heart...
Joey's goal in racing is to win races....
When asked if anything in racing needs to be changed..... He said "cheaper"..
A racing highlight for Joey was when he won the first $1000 Hornet Race at Macon County...
Joey likes to race the high groove on a dry slick track...
