Matt Adkins is 16 years old and lives in Tuscola, Illinois
He runs the #M2 hornet... It is a Chevy with a 2.2 engine..
He claims Charleston as his hometrack and also his favorite to run...........although he siad he has never raced at a different track..
His #2 is for Rusty Wallace and the M is for his name.
Matt started racing in the hornet division two years ago when he was 14 yrs old..
His inspiration to start racing came from his dad Bob......His dad is now retired but use to race in the street stock division..
The driver he most admires is Rusty Wallace..
His toughest competitor he feels is Jim Cross,jr
Matt feels it takes a lot of patience to be a good driver.............
His goal in racing is to get his first win in a feature...
Racing Highlight for Matt was winning a trophy dash in 2005 at Charleston...
He is his own Crew Chief but gets help from Jim Cross jr and Jim Cross Sr...
Matt wanted to give a special thanks out to his mom Lisa and his dad Bob and to Kaden..
