Chad Evans is 20 years old and lives in Mattoon , Illinois... He is single.

Chad runs the #59 modified with a Bob Pierce Chassi and a Mullins Engine....
HIs #59 was the number his grandfather John Evans used when he raced..

He claims Charleston Speedway as his hometrack but his favorite to run is the Columbus, Ms track..

Chad has had a very busy racing career at just age 20... he started racing go carts at the age of 9.. He started racing hornets in 2001...then street stock in 2002......went into the sportsman class in 2003 to 2004...moved into the modified division in 2005 and raced sportsman also that year.... I know that Chad also races late model and is getting ready to step into that class soon...

His dad Mike Evans is the one that inspired him to start racing..

The driver he most admires is his dad Mike......
The drivers he feels is his toughest competitors are Denny Schwartz and Jeff Leka

To be a good driver Chad says you need to be able to listen to what the better drivers have to say...you will learn a lot from them..

His goal in racing is to one day win the UMP National Championship..

When asked if there was anything in racing that he thinks needs to be changed... he said he was satisfied...just wished there was a solution in bringing the cost down..

A racing highlight for Chad is winning the 2005 Track Championship at Clay County Speedway in the Sportsman division..

He likes to run the low groove on a dry slick track..... Chad said he got the nickname "the creeper" because of him racing the low groove...

His Crew Chiefs are his dad Mike and also Howie
Crew Member is J.D.

He wanted to give a special thanks out to his mom Nancy and his dad Mike and to his girlfriend Emily..

I finally got to meet you Chad....... I have been so close to catching you for an interview a few times and then missing you.......I first started watching you in a sportsman racing at Clay Co... You put on some really good shows with JJ Miller.......was exciting to watch.... now you are doing the same in a modified...can't wait to catch you in the late model...

Good luck with your season
