Aaron Heck is 17 years old but will turn 18 on the 15 of May...He lives in Mt. Vernon, Illinois...
He runs the #59 crate late model with a CJ Rayburn chassi and a 604 crate engine..
When asked if there was a reason behind his number..... he told me it was the number his dad Rick used when he raced...
Aaron claims Mt. Vernon as his hometrack and his favorite track to run is Windy Hollow...
Aaron started racing at the age of 13 in the hornet division and started racing crate late models three years ago...
I asked Aaron what had inspired him to start racing.... He told me it was Rodney Melvin... He said he went alot with Rodney when he would race....
To be a good driver he said you have to have patience and a lot of seat time...
The driver that Aaron most admires is Rodney Melvin..
His toughest competitors are Nick Lyons and Mark Oller
When asked for a racing Highlight that stands out for him.... He said "anytime I win the money...thats a highlight ..
Aaron said he likes to run the low groove but if there is a top he will run it...wherever it is the fastest...
And he likes a wet track...
