Matthew Ragland is 33 years old and lives in Tamara, Illinois..
He has a five year old son Gage.........and has a girlfriend Rachel.......

He runs the #15 crate late model with a CJ Rayburn chassi and the crate engine

He deems I-57 I 69 (Mt Vernon) as his hometrack...
HIs favorite track to run is West Plains, Missouri

I asked Matthew if there was a reason behind the #15......... He told me it was the number his brother used when he raced.... Matthew said this was the first year for this number... he has always been #5.........His brother Chuck Still,jr is serving at this time his country in the Airforce and Matthew is honoring him by using his number.............

***I want to say thankyou to Chuck,jr for helping keep the USA safe... I for one appreciate you very much ****

Matthew started his racing career at age 22 in a modified...then he went into a steel block late model for five years and then this year went into the crate late model...

The drivers that he most admire are Rodney Melvin and Kevin Cole......

He deems his step dad Chuck Still and his cousin Scott Hutchinson as his toughest competitors..

To be a good driver Matthew says you have to be a good driver...have a level head...

When asked if there was anything in racing he felt needed to be changed.....he said he thinks they need to do a better job on teching cars...

His goal in racing at the time is to get his first feature win..

A highlight for Matthew that stands out for him is ............the second night that he was in a steel block he passed up his step dad , Chuck Still .....Feels he accomplished something with doing that...

He likes to race the high groove on a tacky track...

His Crew Chief is Joey Smith

He wanted to give a special thanks out to his mom Margie and his step dad Chuck,,, and his girlfriend Rachel...

Was really nice to meet you Matthew....glad Scott Hutchinson sent me your way....hope to catch you at CCS again soon...
