Lynn Lash is 36 years old and lives in Vandalia, Illinois... he has two daughters Jessie and Renee..
Lynn runs the #35 hornet which is a saturn with a DOHC engine..
He said the reason behind his number #35....it was the number his daughter had in basketball four years ago.....
Lynn claims Clay County Speedway as his hometrack and also is his favorite to run...
He started racing hornets four years ago ....He said the reason he got into racing was because of his best friend JIm Cole.....#00 hornet driver..
The driver he most admires is Dale Earnhardt, jr.........
The drivers that he feels are his toughest competitors are the Eilers and the Shaws...
Lynn said to be a good driver he feels you have to have patience....skill....and also using your head...............
I asked if he had a goal and he told it was to win a feature....
A racing highlight that stands out for him was winning a couple of heat races...
He likes to run the low to middle groove and doesn't care if the track is dry slick or tacky..
He said he is his own Crew Chief and when asked about Crew Members he said that all the hornet guys help each other out whenever they need help...
He said he wanted to give his mom, his girlfriend and his daughters a special thanks for their love and support....

Lynn started racing the hornet class in 2005... He said his good friend Jim Cole #00 is who inspired him to start racing....
The driver he most admires is Dale Earnhardt,jr...
The driver he says gives him his toughest challenges are Heath Sharp, Jimmy Bone and Timmy Snelling..
When I asked Lynn what he thought it took to be a good driver he said you need to use your head...be smart...not hammer down all the time... pick and choose your spots....
His goal in racing is to be Track Champion this year...
When asked if there was anything in racing he felt needed changing he told me that he would like to see more interaction with the fans... that they need to be drawn into the activities more ......**** Lynn donated some hats for the fans to win in ticket drawings..***
Lynn likes to race the low groove on a dry slick track..

And Lynn said he wanted to give a special thanks to his mom who always supported him in his racing and came to his races... He lost his mother last year ............. ***we know Lynn that your mom is still with you at the races***
