The track was really rough... Spiker added new clay this season and with the first race of the season..... well... you know how thoses usually go..
Chad signed up to enter the HOT DOG AND HEROES CHALLENGE to win extra money....... Well it proved not to go so well... he was really cutting out and pulled off the track............. they checked the car out and changed the carburator......
We were afraid he would not be able to race but when his heat was announced.... here he came to our relief..... they took five to feature and Chad finished 3rd behind Boylard and Brian Hayden...
In the feature he started out in fourth row 7th position... he was patient... held the bottom groove and started picking them off one at a time... with about two laps left he made the move on Brian Hayden and won......................

They really put on a good show with what they had to work with.....
Great job Chad...................he won the night before at Brownstown, Illinois...

Heat 4 took 1st
Feature.... started 4th and finished 1st for $1,200
saturday race got rained out....
