Bill Slane is 54 years old and lives in Geff, Illinois with his wife Rebecca... They have four children: Jeremy, James, Justin and Wanita....
Bill runs the #J250 Shadow in the hornet class with a 205 engine...
He considers Clay County his hometrack as well as his favorite to run...
Bill started his racing career at age 53 in the hornet class...
When I asked him what inspired him to start racing he said he got talked into it by Chuck and James....
I asked what driver he most admired and he laughed and said himself..
HIs toughest competitor has been Chuck Bell,jr
Bill told me to be a good driver he felt you needed to keep from hitting something or someone else..
His goal in racing is just to have fun
He told me he felt that they need to use the black flag more....
Bill likes to race the high groove on a tacky track...
His Crew Chief is himself..
