M J Wheat is 34 years old and lives in Centralia, Illinois..
He runs the #43 Monte Carlo with a 406 engine..
He claims Clay County as his hometrack and also his favorite track to run...
MJ started his racing career at age 33 in the street stock division...
He told me he was inspired to start racing because of his dad Jack... His dad raced street stocks in the 60's and 70"s...
MJ says to be a good driver you have to have smoothness and to be consistent...
His goal in racing is to win races...
He considers Josh Griffith his toughest competitor..
When I asked if there was anything in racing that needed to be changed MJ said that he wishes that Clay County would stagger the running order of the classes in how they go out to race.... says it would be more fair to all the classes...
MJ likes to run the low groove and a tacky track...
His Crew Chief is Rick Roth and his Team consists of himself and Rick....
