Randy Smyser is 21 years old and lives in Charleston , Illinois..
He runs the #X Camero in the street stock division with a 386 engine
Randy claims Charleston as his hometrack and his favorite to run is Farmer City...
I asked him if there was a reason behind his number and he told me just to be different... He said that his original number was #R60 but he wrecked it..when he got another car he spray painted an X on it and just stayed with it...
Randy started his racing career at age 14 in street stocks..
He told me that racing was a family tradition and that is why he got involved...
The driver he most admires is his dad Randy.........
The driver he feels was his toughest competitor was the late MIke Heddins #3H..
Randy says it takes paitence to be a good driver and he said "LOTS OF PATIENCE!!!!! "
HIs goal in racing is to win a track championship.... said he has finished 2nd before ..but he wants first...
I asked him if there was anything in racing he would like to change he told me NO not at this time... he is pretty happy with the way things are..
Racing highlight that stands out for him is finishing 2nd in pts at Charleston Speedway..
Randy likes to race the high groove on a dry slick track...
HIs Crew Chief is his dad Randy Smyser and Crew Members are his brothers Nick and Josh, his grandpa Raymond White and Chad.....
Randy wanted to say thanks to his grandparents and to his mom and dad and all his loyal fans....
