David Shain is 21 years old and lives in Cooks Mill, Illinois...
He runs the #87 street stock... It is a camero and his engine is a 412...
The reason for his #87.... that is the number that his dad Chuck used when he raced and also his Uncle Steve Adams.... The #87 was the year his dad graduated...
David started his racing career at age 15 in the street stock division..
He told me that he was inspired to start racing because his dad Chuck and his Uncle Steve raced...
The driver he most admires is Tony Stewart...
He feels that his Uncle Steve Adams has been his toughest competitor...
David feels you need to have patience to be a good driver and some talent and the will to race every weekend.....
His goal in racing is to win a track championship..
I asked David if he thought there was anything in racing that needed to be changed and he told me the rules..... said the rules should be consistent at all tracks so they could race anywhere...
He races both the high groove and the low groove.... whatever is working is where he will be... He does like to race on a dry slick track...
His Crew Chief is his dad Chuck
Team Members are his dad and Kevin Gibson..
