Michael Bolyard is 23 years old and lives in St. Peter, Illinois..
He runs the #28 modified with a dirtworks chassi and a ford engine..
Michael claims Clay County as his hometrack and his favorite to run is Fayette County in Brownstown, Illinois..
The reason behind the #28...........he chose that number because it was Davey Allison's number..
Michael satred his racing career in a bomber when he was 16 years old.... He went into the modified division 3 years ago (2005)...
His inspiration for racing came from his dad Floyd who had raced.... Michael said he grew up with racing..
The driver that he most admires is BRENT KEYES ..........
The driver he feels is his toughest competitor is CHAD KINDER
Michael's goal in racing is to win the NATIONAL UMP POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP...
When asked if there was anything in racing he feels needs to be changed he like so many others feel the cost........it is just getting out of reach..
Racing highlights for MIchael.........he said that he has had a lot......said he won a lot of races in the street stock.......and that he has won a lot of races starting from the back of the pack....
He said that a special highlight for him was a race at Highland on July 23rd when he had started 12th and passed for first in turn 4 and took the checker for $1000....
He likes to race the high groove on a dry slick track...
