He runs the #01 Crate Late Model with a Rayburn Chassi and a 604 crate engine..
The #01 stands for the year that Casey started racing...
Casey considers Tri City as his hometrack and his favorite to run is Lake Ozark...
Casey started his racing career at age 12 years old in a go cart.... He started racing the crate late model in 2001.....
He said he was inspired to start racing because he had been around it all his life.... He said that his grandpa Les Zanders had once raced...
Driver that Casey most admires is Tony Stewart.....
The driver he feels is his toughest competitor is Nic Lyons #2x...
Casey said to be a good driver you need to be smooth....
Casey hopes to one day be able to run in the Super Late Models..... ***after watching him race last night I could see that happening...he was exciting to watch***
When asked if he thought there was anything in racing that he felt needed to be changed he told me that the attitudes of some of the people involved in racing needed to improve...
A highlight that stands out for him is getting a win at Lake of the Ozarks...
Casey likes to run the low groove on a dry slick track.....
