Danny Jolly is 33 yrs old and lives in Christopher, Illinois with his wife Amy and daughters Kirsten and Kailey...
Danny runs the #U2 crate late model with a CJ Rayburn chassi and a 604 engine...
Danny claims Mt. Vernon as his hometrack and also his favorite to run...
He told me that he started racing bombers in 1994 and has raced street stock as well as modified...he raced in the FasTrak Series for one year and has been with the CARS SERIES two years....
Danny told me he got inspired to start racing when a couple of guys he worked with raced and he went and watched them and he said he fell in love with it so decided he would try it....
The driver that Danny most admires is Rodney Melvin.....the driver he feels is his toughest competitor is Nic Lyons #2x..
Danny feels that being calm and using your head will make you a good driver.....
HIs goal in racing is just to race as long as he can...
When asked if there was anything in racing he feels needs to change..... he said better payout at the tracks.....
A racing highlight that stands out for him in his career was winning the CARS championship in 2006...
He doesn't care whether he races the high groove or the low groove.... whatever works is where you will find him.... He does however like to race on a dry slick track...
His crew chief is Donald Flatt and his crew consists of himself and Donald...
He wanted to give a big thanks out to his wife Amy and his two kids Kirsten and Kailey for all their support...
and to Walkers 24 hour Towing and to Weeks Chevrolet....
He told me to make sure that I expressed for him how much he appreciates James Burrell, Al Kreke and brothers Mike and Joe Cooksey for lending him their cars while his is out of commission.... he said he is up there in the CARS Pts and without them he would have totally lost out.... THANKS GUYS !!!!!!
