When we left for the races today we really didn't think we would be seeing any with all the rain in the area..but when we got to Charleston it looked pretty good..... the race was to start at 7 p.m but did not get started until well after 7:30 pm............ it was getting aggravating..........
They announced that the modifieds make up feature would be first.... then they changed it to the street stock....
In the street stock makeup feature the #93J and the #87 of David Shain was on front row and David got out to an early lead.... first caution came out for a car that went over the burm...second caution came out for the #8 who went over the burm..........David Shain is getting into lap traffic....With 9 laps in and 11 to go the X of Randy Smyster and the Crazy 8 crashed..both go off....on the restart the #13 of Jordan Smith went over the burm.........another car #29 goes over the burm...............ended with David Shain #87 wins, Smith #30 takes 2nd...the #89 of Sollars 3rd....
Next up was the modified makeup feature.... Danny Schwartz and Menser on the front line, 2nd row is Chad Evans and Rob Fuqua, 3rd row is #59 and #36: 4th row is Chad Kinder and #27 of Brown: 5th row is Bill Wagoner and Cody Hood; 6th row is Denny Schwartz and Miller #42; 7th row is Hensen and Rivers; 8th row is Schrock and Roger Cary; 9th row is Greg Short and #98c; 10 th row is Dustin King and #112..
the first caution is for the #112 who goes over the burm....the #44 of Cary stops on track... #9w over the burm...caution on restart for the #3f of Rob Fuqua ...after battling back n forth with Chad Evans for thrid spot Rob has to pull off with a broken tie rod.... top ten in running order is Danny Schwartz, Menser, Evans , #59;#36; Kinder;Brown;Wagoner;Hood and Denny Schwartz...
next caution is for #112...he goes off track for having two cautions charged to him...
Denny Schwartz pulls off.............caution for the #83 of Schrock..... a caution comes out when the #42 of Mills stops on straight away....the #59 and #10 of Hensen spin....Cody Hood goes over the burm coming out of turn two............ not sure if it was motor or a drive shaft.... he came out in feature so was not the motor thank goodness....Ryyan Cary pulls off...
the #27 of Brown jumps the start so he is put behind Bill Wagoner.... caution for the #98c...the #98c brings out another caution...he has to pull off for the two caution rule...#48 is off...
winner is Danny Schwartz, Gabe Menser, Chad Kinder; Tim Brown; Chad Evans; Greg Short; Jamie Henson; #59; Mills and Schrock..
Hornets feature makeup .... you had #34c and #330 on front row; Jim Cross,jr and #14 second row and not sure after that....started with the front three being #34, #330 and Cross,jr.... caution out for debrie..lot of side by side racing between Burton and Cross....ends with Burton taking first, Cross second and #34c third.
caution comes out for the #80 and #M2..... finish was Jim Cross,jr; Chris Burton; #14;

second part of the night after a long intermission and more water on the track started with the modifieds..
Denny Schwartz appeared on the track in the 3peat house car of Bob Pierce that Chad Kinder had with him...
In heat one you had Bradley...Schwartz..Kinder..Schrock...Hollifield..Mills..Menser and #59 who dns..Denny in the 3peat car got in the lead from gitgo and pulled off to a marginal lead....the #83 of 24 yr old Schrock was next and then Menser...then Kinder who had some trouble on the start, then Mills..........after a great charge from Menser he got into turn three to hard and spun out putting him to the tail..........Kinder passed Schrock to take over 2nd spot.........four to advance to feture: Schwartz, Kinder, Schrock and Mills
In heat two Barker, Huddleston, Short, #7.., Brown, #58...Danny Schwartz and Kenny Carmichael..
caution one came out before a lap in when the #28 of Barker got sideways causing the #27 who had no where to go to drive up on the #28 getting lodged together...the #21d slid to a stop avoiding the accident... took forever to get the two cars apart.. once they lifted one of the cars and dropped it..ouch..not good....
Matt Huddleston got out to the lead with Greg Short behind him and then Danny Schwartz...caution two comes out when the #28 once again brings out a caution...he is sent off the track...
Danny Schwartz took over second place from Greg Short but could not take Matt Huddleston... Matt held the lead throughout the heat ...four to transfer...Huddleston..Schwartz..Short and Carmichael (Schwartz and Carmichael had started on last row...
Heat three you had Rivers...#8...#9w...Henson...#K4...Dustin King..#112 and Crawley
On start the #112, the #k4 and the #37 crash in turn two......after restart the #112 gets hit by someone and drives thru the infield and back on track...whole right side of car is damaged...he pulled off track...
this heat was real exciting... 3 wide racing with #9w, #10 and the #32.........
#8 gets turned sideways in turn four bringing out a caution..... with 8 down and 2 to go while going 3 wide again the #32 of King gets around the #9w... then Henson gets around......
four to advance: King..Henson...#9w and Crawley........
Heat four got started before I could get the line up but cars in there were Eckel..Evans..VanSant..Bill Wagoner..Cody Hood...Rob Fuqua and Roger Cary..
with no laps in the first caution comes out for the #33 of Eckel when he gets sideways in turn four..
looked like a caution would come out for VanSant when he spun out but he kept on going without stopping on track....then a caution comes out when the #33 of Eckel stops on track...his second caution so he was showed the gate...caution three came when Roger Carey and VanSant gets together....caution was charged to VanSant...Cary gets his spot back... four to transfer....Evans...Hood...Wagoner...Fuqua.....
ten lap semi with top four going to feature..Bradley..Rivers..Brown..Cary..VanSant..#k4..#58...#8..Barker.
..on start the #27 and the #k4 get together but keep going....first caution comes out when Bradley #6 slips over the burm .... Rivers is in lead with Cary behind him..next caution comes out for VanSant who spins coming out of turn two....... this race was exciting too with 3 wide racing with Carey, #k4 and Rivers....
four to advance: Carey...#k4...Rivers and Hollifield...*****was announced that this is Roger Carey's 34th year of racing!!! what an accomplishment....
after another long intermission the modified feature gets ready...rain was getting closer...lightning all around with light sprinkles....they started race quickly so i did not get the line up.....I know that Dustin King and Danny Schwartz was on front line with Denny Schwartz and Matt Huddleston second row...third row was Evans and Henson...fourth row was Chad Kinder and Cody Hood....
Danny Schwartz got out to the lead right away but had his hands full with Matt Huddleston right on his tail...those two battled it out all the way to the checkered flag....
first caution came out for the #83 of Schrock....running order at that time was Schwartz, Huddleston, De Schwartz, King, Henson, Kinder......
the #31 of Hollifield pulls off.... caution comes out for the #37..running order Da Schwartz, Huddleston, De Schwartz, Chad Kinder, Dustin King, Henson, Hood and Short...
The race went pretty much smooth with Danny and Matt putting on a heck of a race for that front spot..Denny Schwartz and Chad Kinder was putting on one of their own....
Finish was: Danny Schwartz, Matt Huddleston..Denny Schwartz...Chad Kinder...Greg short...Henson...Cody Hood...Roger Carey...Bill Wagoner...Rob Fuqua...#37....Kenny Carmichael...Chad Evans...Mills and #k4
was a great race by all..... I love seeing Chad and Denny race together ... they always put on a good race... Danny Schwartz.... he owns that Charleston track...he is superb winning both races tonight....Matt Huddleston.... wow kid.... you are looking extremely good out there.... we are gonna see your name in the winning circle alot.....Cody Hood..glad to see you get a good finish...I know you have had a rough start this year and when I seen you go over the burm earlier I was hoping it was not bad...was happy to see you back on track....Bill Wagoner... you were looking really strong out there tonight!!! finishing in top ten.....

the street stocks had three heats.......top six to feature
I am sorry with the names .... I don't know that many of the drivers at Charleston...
heat one had #13 and #89Sollars..#8...#T11...Dunley#78...Shain #87...#87c... the #63 of David Foster came out to race but had to pull out before start....first caution came out for the #87c, the #8 and the #89 of Sollars.........the #87c of Cooper had to pull off...
David Shain moving up the line from sixth had got up to about third and going too strong in to turn two spun out ...he had to go to the tail of pack...
with nine to go Sollars...Smith...T11...Dunley...#8 and Shain
on restart the #8 goes over the burm...
with the #89 out in front smoke is starting to come from his car....... ???? motor???? he starts dropping back... the #13 gets around him............and here comes that #87 of David Shain up to second spot..with Sollars leading all but the last three laps........he had to pull off.......all advance to feature: Smith #13...David Shain #87...#T11.....Dunley #78
heat two #05...09...#29...Nate Beeson #18..#8w...#12 and Tom Rennels #34..
first caution came out when the #09 hits the tire in turn four...
second caution comes out for the #34 who goes into turn three to strong..has to go to tail
next caustion for the #09....he has to go off track for second caution chged to him
#29 gets black flagged........sparks are coming from his car...
ended with #05 Shaffer....#34 Rennels...#18 Beeson....#8w Wildwood
heat three I did not catch any of the names....finish was #93j...#30...#22...#JC3...#33d
I never stayed for the completion of the Street Stock Feature due to the time and rain coming in..
front row was Rennels and Shain..row two was #93j and Smith...
David Shain got out in front early with Rennels behind him....somewhere along the line when i was watching a accident the #30 of Miller got around Shain...... about half way thru the #22 caught on fire and lost some fluid on the track....... someone posted on the site that Shain had got into that liquid and caused him to spin his tires and lose a belt...........he was done...........the #18, the #13... the #34 and the #93 all pulled off
sorry guys.... that was all I saw............due to the long night we had to head home.....

did not take Jim Cross long to take the lead with the #62 in hot pursuit.... got a little scarey when Cross got into lap traffic but he handled it just fine taking the win with #62, #747..#12..#37

next caution was for the #J82 who spins on the back stretch

heat three the #30 of Derek Winn who is 17 yrs old won.....#34...#03...#14...#M2...#7x and #61
in the semi they were taking two...........
the J82 and the #61 advanced...
