Rylan Dagg is 31 years old and lives in Wayne City, Illinois with his wife Deairdra and their two daughters America who is 9 and Liberty who is 3...They are expecting the arrival of a little boy in August who they plan on calling Justice............
Rylan runs the #R52 crate late model with a masterbilt chassi and a 602 crate engine..
He told me the reason for his car number is that was his number when he played College Basketball at Rend Lake Jr. College...
Rylan calls Clay County and Tri City his hometracks... His favorite track to run is Granite City.... he told me I need to go there... it is a nice track....
Rylan started racing at the age of 22 in a modified... he went to a late model in 2002 and raced ten races last year in the CARS Series...
I asked him what had inspired him to start racing and he told me that his mom and dad had liked racing and they always went to watch... He said no one in his family ever raced before him... Says he has always liked it...
The driver that he most admires is Jeff Gordon
and he said that he feels Nick Lyons #2x is his toughest competitor....
Rylan says he feels to be a good driver after he laughed and told me he didn't know that it takes a lot of hard work and alot of dedication..... lots and lots of hours......
His goal in racing is to win every race he enters...
He as all his other crate late model guys feel satisified with the way racing is....
A racing highlight that stands out for him is winning the track championship at Mt Vernon in 2002 in the Steel Block division and also running the Challenge of Champions where he finished 6th.... said he ran every race but one...
Rylan like to run the low groove on a dry slick track...
His Crew Chief is Glenn and team members are Brian and Taco..
Rylan wanted to give a big thanks to his mom Connie and his dad Bill and his wife Deairdra for all their support....
Thanks so much for the interview Rylan.... I have tried to catch you a couple of times..was nice meeting you ... goodluck with the season.. hope to see you race again this seaon..
