I went to the #22 pit area to congratulate Chad Kinder on his new little arrival "Sydney Jean"...can't wait to see her !!!
I was given a new Kinder Sweatshirt by Kevin Short.......thanks so much Kevin!!!!! Boy are they sharp... ............anyone interested in shirts or sweatshirts let me know..... their sweatshirts are $25, tees are $20...........they have a few tees from last year for $15......and they have youth sizes 2-4; 6-8; 10-12; and 14-16 for $10....
I interviewed Jim Burrell, Bobby Wilkins, Nick Lyons and JR Dunlap.... was really nice talking with these guys...
I tried to get an interview with Ron Meyers but was bad timing for he was getting ready to go on the track... I did get pictures though...very nice guy.... he went on to win the feature tonight...
Got to talk with Brian and Sandy Shaw; Jesse Snyder...... and Darroll and Jeff Greenwood....Darroll told me that he hoped I would be there tonight.... he said he wanted to tell me that when he told me that Jeff was the Driver he most admired....he didn't tell me why...........he said he admired Jeff because he was always in the back of the pack and fighting his way to the front..........THESE GUYS ARE CHARACTORS!!!!.... also talked with Darrell McDowell....Michael Fox and Devin McKinney..nice kids....
Sean Franklin came by to say hello...........and I got to meet Race McMahon... the builder of the :Forward Race Cars".........
I also recognized a purple street stock in the pit area... I had seen this car many times in winners circle at Mt. Vernon....... I got an interview with Bobby Wilkins who now drives the #78 but had driven the red #23... his brother Johnny was there helping him..... Johnny has had to give up racing...for a while at least due to a shoulder injury........... I really had a good time talking with them...
I spent some time at the #79 pit area talking with Jr and his wife Amanda and Jr's dad Lloyd.... really great group...
Rodney Deal came up to say hello..... he is recovering from pneumonia.... has been sick for three weeks.... was good to see him back on the mend..... said that Bj was not there due to church obligations ... hopefully he will be there next weekend.....

I talked with Darrell Beckham......he has changed his car number from #18 to #11 to honor his brother David that he recently lost in a terrible car accident this week....he took home the heat win tonight in David's name.....
Shane Cockrum!!!!!!! I looked all over for you.... I wanted to get a picture of you and your crate late model....
Got to talk with Everett Bradham and take a couple of pictures of him behind the wheel of the #10b of James Burrell's...
Was a great night of racing!!! Track seemed ok.........is getting better...........winners of features were Chad Kinder in the modifieds...........looking good out there Chad!!!!!! Chad dedicated the win tonight to BILL SNYDER... we lost Bill a year ago the 12th of May.....
Ron Meyers in crate late model....Josh Griffith in street stock and Tim Snelling in the hornets....
One real scarey episode was when the #70 hornet of Rick Crane went on two wheels and went airborne and I don't know how it kept from landing on its lid but it didn't....landed on its tires but came down very hard.......
and before I left for home I got to see pictures of the new Burmiester baby "Maddox Richard".....he is so little and very cute.... he came into the world weighing only 4# 5 oz....
