Cory runs the #22 with a Masterbilt chassi and a Runyon Engine..
He picked his number for the Sprint car driver "WILDCHILD" #22...
Cory claims Danville as his hometrack as well as his favorite to run....
I asked Cory when he started his racing career and he told me he started out in the modified division at age 21 and then went into the late model division three years ago.
I asked him what had inspired him to start racing and he told me that he had just watched racing for a long time and had wanted to do it ....finally he got the opportunity and he went for it...
The driver that he most admires is Bob Pierce..
The driver that he deems his toughest competitor is RITCHIE HEDDRICK...
When asked what he thought it took to be a good driver he told me you needed to have a good understanding of your car...
His goal in racing is to win a track championship..
Cory is happy with racing and feels nothing needs to be changed..
A racing highlight that stands out for him was when he made his first Northern All Star Show...
Cory likes to race the low groove on a dry slick track....
His Crew Chief is his father , Gary and his Crew Member that helps him is Rory..
