Bill Snyder was the father of Will Snyder, Crew Chief for Team #22..and husband of Cindy Snyder..
Bill loved racing and was a big part of Team #22...
I knew Bill for four short years but am so glad I got to know him..... my husband and I had a lot of fun with him and Cindy.... two years in a row we went to East Bay , Florida to watch Team #22 and had a lot of fun there... he also joined us at our camper to party after the races at Eldora.... also went to the UMP Banquet the first year we got involved with racing and there is where he and Team #22 gave me a gold charm of a modified car with the #22 on it that I wear on a chain.. I will always cherish it....

MY GOODBYE TO MY GOOD FRIEND BILL SNYDER

Today when they allowed us to come forward and tell little stories that we remembered about Bill Snyder I could not bring myself to do so... I knew I would not be able to get through it...but in my heart I know Bill was hearing what I was saying....
My hubby and I moved back home after being in the Chicago area for over 30 years leaving our three children and seven grandchildren... I was totally lost..... then my husband and I were introduced to Team #22 and their families... my life has never been the same.....they took us in and made us feel like part of the family....when I would go to the track at Clay Co I would hear "Hey CJ"!!! and it would be Bill... We would always talk about racing.... ..We all went out to Eldora one year and what fun we had...Bill invited Howie and I to the UMP Banquet that year and we decided to go..... Little did I know what he had planned for me.........Bill had showed me the #22 charm that he wore around his neck telling me that he and Cindy were the only two that had ones made like his.....Well....now there are three..He, Cindy , Will and Chad awarded me one at the Banquet for being the #1 fan of Team #22..... that was so special to me...
We also went to Florida two years in a row and that is where I met his brother Bob...we had a lot of fun there too..... they had these big yummy strawberries that everyone was buying and taking home...hubby and I flew down so there was no way we would be able to take any home.....Well..Bill being Bill...he made sure I had strawberries when I got home....
Anyone who talked with Bill about racing had to hear about CJ.... He loved the site and would call me from time to time to tell me about something he had read on the site...
Bill was my friend.. I feel very fortunate to have known him.....he will be missed but not forgotten..
Until we meet again.....................
