Ray Humphrey is 46 years old and lives in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife Chris and son Raymond.
He runs the #1h modified with a Franklin Chassi and a Roger Williams Engine
Ray told me he had no reason behing his number
He started his racing career at the age of 23 in a street stock... He went into a modifed in 1995..
When asked what had inspired him to start racing he told me his father... He said his father "Buck Humphrey" raced go carts...
The driver that he most admires is Kenny Schrader....
I asked Ray what he thought it took to be a good driver...... he told me WISDOM .....and a certain amount of courage.... you have to control the craziness out on the track....
When I asked him who his toughest competitor had been he told me there were way to many to list....
The racing highlight that stands out for Ray is winning the WOLFE PACK CHAMPIONSHIP two years ago..
He likes to run the High groove on a tacky track....
Crew members for Ray is Troy Woods and his brother Jay Humphrey..
He wanted to give a special thanks to Franklin Race Cars and to Reebes Logging..
Thankyou so much Ray for the interview... I have been trying to track you down for over a year.... so glad I finally caught up with you.......
