Other than it being extremely cold it was a great night.....thank goodness my hubby has a heater...
When I first went into the pit area I ran into the Robinson's... Kent was full of vinegar
quite a witty young man..... darn....I really tried to get that picture of him working on the car Becky seeing the other side of Kent....... 
While there Sabrina Cramer stopped by ..what a cutie.....
Chris Nunn stopped by to say hello and I got to see his mom Ma Nunn again and to talk with his wife ..Chris and his wife are going to be parents in May... Congratulations !!!!!
I finally got to meet Tim Keithley.... was very nice to meet you !!

Well.... as I was standing there talking with Becky..Chad Kinder passed me coming back from tech...he did not look very happy..... Becky said that Chad had been through tech at least three times and you could tell by Chad's face that he had not passed again..... I guess Nick Allen had some trouble as did Rob Fuqua....
I decided to stay clear of Team #22
for a while.... ... I got an interview with Jared Bailey #24...very nice kid.... then went down and got Mike Cawood #12 street stock ...I have had some requests to get an interview with Mike but have always missed making connections..... was really nice to meet him...I then went to the #75 car and found Arby Burton who normally runs the #b97 for an interview......the #75 is owned by Ed Wallace...... next I went looking for Ray Humphrey ..the #1h..... I finally found him and he gave me an interview.... I have been trying to get Ray for over a year and just kept missing him.... right next to him was the #76 of Shelby Miles..... I wanted to get Shelby but it was time for hot laps so I will have to get him another time... Shelby has been out of racing for a while since breaking his leg in two places...... as I understand it..Shelby had just got his cast off and really should not have been racing yet...but...you know these racecar drivers
... Shelby ended up setting fast time for the night....Well.. I finally got brave enough to go to the pit area of Team #22 ...
....... what I got from Chad was this........... he had to go through tech five times before he passed..... he told me that he has no problem with ump rules...... what upsets him is that the rules are not consistent..... he said what one ump official passes ...at another track it don't pass....... he said that they should set the rules at the beginning of the season and stay that way all year.... he said when he was at Lawrenceburg he had to change some things..he gets passed....then he goes to Brownstown and it don't pass...........Click to view attachment
Chad did some renovation on the car himself when he popped it with a hammer.....it passed...
Shelby Miles #76 who has been out of racing for a while with a broken leg set fast time with 16.032
They qualified in groups of ten and there were 6 heats.... taking top three to feature.....two consi's taking top two to feature..
Feature was a 100 laps...$5000 to win......pit stop at lap 50....
Heat #1 went off without a caution..Gill and Kinder on front row with Bex and Mullins on second row..Chad started outside front row and shot out to lead all laps with the #31 of Matt Bex crossing second and Adam Sasser crossing third.... Cramer missed transfer spot by one..then Gill, Millins, Burton, Huddleston and Rivers..
Heat #2 you had Leka and Gilpin on front row with Denny Schwartz and Shelby Miles on second row..during this heat I got hit by a clod of dirt and so did Gennie Bare...about a lap or two later we saw the flagman go down..he had been hit in the head by a dirt clod..... We were sitting top of bleachers behind flagman.....he was replaced by another official but before long he returned...glad he was ok...
Jeff Leka got in the lead and stayed there throughout..Londeree took second and Gilpin crossed third.....Denny Schwartz missed transfer spot by one..then Miles, Bailey, Marshall, Poel, Shoemaker and Weber...
Heat #3.....had John DeMoss and J.D. Roberts on front row and Weber and Kramer on second row...the #79d of DeMoss shot out to an early lead... a caution came out for the #71 who went over the burm.... after restart the #77 of Kramer took the lead from DeMoss and then the #90 followed...ended with Kramer taking first, Roberts second, DeMoss third...then Weber, Allen.........
heat #4...Brandon Short and Matt Boknecht was on front row with Hobbs and Bowersock on second row...
A caution came out when the #46 of Brandon Short got sideways collecting the #07 of Bowersock and the #38 of Jeff Bland,jr......Hobbs just missed getting caught up ......
On restart they put the #46 back in his spot while Bowersock and Bland went to tail.....they brought the caution out and then put the #46 to tail also.....
Boknecht pulled off with a flat tire....
Hobbs took first, Lucas second and #12 of Ameck third....then Biswell, Bowersock, Bland,Short, Burke and #69...
heat #5...Gabe Menser and Chris Streeval on front row and Kevin Weaver and Paul Bumgardner on second row....Gabe Menser took the lead and stayed there...Bumgardner had been riding in the two spot until he spun on checker flag lap...he pulled off... ended with Menser first, Streeval second and Weaver third...then Danny Schwartz, Marshall, Gilpin, Greg Lee and Jim Lee..
heat #6 ...Humphrey and Gumm of front row...Patrick and Plessinger on second row....Humphrey pulls out to an early lead.... caution comes out when Fuqua got into Kent Robinson spinning him out...Robinson goes to the tail.........**the #39 of Plessinger jumped the start and was put back a few spots (3rd from tail)
caution came out for the #40 who went over the burm....lost his drive shaft
ended with Humphrey taking first, Gumm second and Godsey third.....then Patrick, Plessinger, Robinson, Spille and Webb Lee...

Next caution comes out when the #21d of Danny Schwartz got into the back of #96 of John Gill spinning him out...Schwartz was sent to the tail for rough driving...
Another caution comes out the #28m of Marshall and the #21 of Allen who tangle...
Another caution for #21d of Schwartz who spins in turn four.....
the time for this event expired so they called the race as is......Shelby Miles and Jesse Snyder advance to feature... Arby Burton was in third and Brent Mullins was in fouth...

Weber and Biswell on front row...Patrick and Bailey on second row..Bland and Plessinger on third row...Denny Schwartz started fifth row outside...Kent Robinson chose to go to tail..car not running right...
On the start there was a pile up coming out of one going into turn two...it was Denny Schwartz, Poel, and Fuqua.... Denny Schwartz pulled off with a broken tie rod but re entered the race before a lap was completed...
a caution came out for Poel who spins out...'
the #66 of Webb Lee pulls off........caution for the #71 and for the #911
single file restart with the #83 of Weber in front, Biswell, Patrick, Bailey, Bland, Plessinger, Bowersock,Spille,Short,#69, Lee, Fuqua, #71, Schwartz, Robinson , Boknecht and Burke..
caution for the #71 who spins....caution for #1k of Fuqua..he is off, Bowersock goes off... Bland has to go back some spots for jumping the start....caution for the #1p of Biswell.....Poel pulls off....
Denny Schwartz spins on checker flag lap..had got up to about sixth...ended with Weber and Bailey making it to the feature....Patrick took third and Plessenger took fourth.....

Chad shot out to take the lead on the green flag.....Leka was behind him ..then Kramer, then Hobbs..

Chad was getting into lap traffic and a caution came out for the #12...
By lap #35 Chad was back into lap traffic and passed the #12, the #90, the #24 and the #22..
At the half way point and pit stop it was:
Kinder Leka, Kramer, Hobbs, Menser, Bex, Humphrey, Gilpin, Londerree, DeMoss
The next fifty laps went caution free with Chad Kinder leading all laps to the checker.....I got lost in lap traffic.....I know that Jeff Leka was in second and that Joey Kramer was third...Gabe Menser was fourth..but from there on out I don't know... I think Chad and Leka lapped all but six cars.....
Jesse Cramer was given 'THE HARD CHARGER AWARD"....
I talked with Kent Robinson's mom during the feature and she told me that Kent knew something was not right with his car but did not know what..........he ended up having engine problems and like the smart driver he is he pulled off the track in the consi..... heard this morning the guys worked on the car all night and put his other motor in it so he could race the Pierce Chassi at Charleston this afternoon.... wishing him luck today....
