Headed to Kamp with overcast skies....looked very shaky on whether we would get rained out...
We forgot that Kamp was an hour ahead of us and we arrived there at six thirty instead of the five thirty we intended..... when we got there they were still working the track..they had got a shower before we arrived...as we went to our seats it started raining again but only for a short time.....
They got started around seven thirty...

We were really excited because Chad Kinder had brought both his late model and his modified..
Fast qualifier in late models was the #25 of Dan Walden..fast qualifier in modifies was #6h of Kevin Hastings..

They had these cute little mod lites which are also called dwarfs at some tracks...
There was a really scarey looking crash which one of them flipped over and landed on its top...thankgoodness they got out of the car on their own..... he was taken by ambulance back to pit area to be checked out... Brad Murphy won the feature..

In the late models
In heat one it looked like Chad Kinder had it in the bag... right from the start he got the jump on Jaymie Zidar ...........a caution comes out on first lap for the #3 who spins in turn two.......the #17 pulls off with 3 laps to go..... Chad was looking strong...very exciting watching him in that late model.....went passed the flag stand on the white and then going into turn one you could see him let off the gas....and then coasted to a stop 1/2 lap from the checker ohmy.gif ... engine trouble once again...... what a disappointment for us and for Chad....he had that won................... all I know is that Zidar won the heat..... I was watching Chad...

In heat two Michael Bradley and Leviner put on a good show..... Michael Bradley won....Eddie Leviner took 2nd...then the #10...then Griffis, Carlson, #15 and #22..

In the feature
Zidar/Bradley
Walden/Leviner
#27/#10
Hedrick/Griffis
Pleasant/Carlson
#92/Laws
Luse/Rolfe
#11/#2b

before a lap was completed a caution came out for a pile up coming out of turn two involving Ritchie Hedrick, one of the #92's, #11 of Legrand and the #2b
caution two came out on restart for the #92 who spun out...no lap in yet....
on restart you could see it coming...both the #15 of JIm Laws and the #5 of Carlson was fighting for the same spot which neither was giving up.....on back stretch they ended up getting locked up and it took a while to get them unhooked..both went off the track....
third try they went single file on restart...Zidar, Bradley, Leviner, Walden, #10, #27, Griffis, Pleaseant, #92, #22, Luse, #11 and Hedrick..
with 19 to go a caution came out for the #92
with 17 to go the #1g of Griffis pulls off without a caution
With 15 laps to go the #21 of Leviner was leading when a caution came out for the #27 who leaves with a flat left rear tire...
on restart it was Leviner, Zidar, #10, Bradley, Walden, #22, Hedrick, Luse, Pleasant, #11d, and #92..
With 12 laps to go Michael Bradley had fought his way up to take the lead passing Leviner... the two of those guys put on a real good show fighting back n forth for the lead..
With 3 to go Luse pulls off.... Bradley laps the #11d car...
Was an exciting race...
Bradley wins with Leviner taking 2.....

Hey C.J. Congrats on Chads win,to bad about the LM breaking, I understand about the motor trouble as we have had alittle of that lately around here!! That was not Kent in the n10s at Kamp,it was the same car he drove at CCS but it was the owner driving it. We took last week-end off because Kent went to the World 100 for the week-end, and I got caught up on yardwork, yuk, It's more fun to go to the races!! We will be back racing at Bloomington Friday!!

SpeedDemon, welcome to the site. CJ is a wonderful person to meet - I have only talk to her once in person for a few short minutes but we have pm each other a lot.

Chad is a real good driver - I too love to watch him but have had very few opportunities this year. I hope you get to meet them both real soon!
