We left the house at ten a.m............ arrived at Lawrenceburg right around 2:30 P.M. our time....
My daughter Amy and granddaughter Kayla came down for the weekend and went with us to the races...I left them and headed for the pit area........
I ran into Pam and Jeff Leka at the pit gate and talked with them for a while...... Rob Fuqua's Crew Chief came by and said hello.............I went by Fuqua's pit area and took some pictures... Rob said from the race saturday night he had a hole in his header........

I tried taking pictures of it but they did not turn out very good.... will put them on and maybe you can get an idea what it looked like

I counted 112 modifieds...

They made six heats with about 18 in each one......then they had an E, a D , a C and two B Mains..

There were a lot of drivers there that I did not know and a lot of double numbers

In heat #1 the names I recognized were Brent Glastetter, Jeff Bland,jr , Dan Hamstra, Joey Kramer, Gabe Menser , Robbie Gullion and Russell Childress........first caution came out for the #23 who had started on front row outside... he had to go to tail....*** they have a rule.... no matter who is at fault...the one to stop on the track goes to the tail........ caution two comes out for the #6w who spins out.... the #55 pulls off... caution three comes out for the #70 of Fliehman and the #30 of Gould......caution four comes out for the #34 of Gullion...he goes off the track.........next caution comes out for the X...ends with Hamstra coming up from 8th to win and Kramer who started tenth takes second and Bland,jr takes 3rd....they go to the A Main....Gabe Menser crossed over fifth...........he will go to a B Main....

In heat #2..names I knew were John DeMoss, Tim Eddelman, Brady Short, Denny Schwartz, Lee Hobbs//
caution one came out for the #51......caution two came out for the #12....caution three was for the #71....ended with John DeMoss taking the checker and Eddelman 2nd and Denny Schwartz coming from tail to take 3rd...........Lee Hobbs missed going to feature by one spot

In heat #3 you found David Spille...Craig Conyer...Brad Wieck...Mugavin...Groomer...Gary Bland..Josh Scott......
caution one came out for the #11 of Josh Scott.....Craig Conyer pulled off at this time with a lot of sheet metal damage to his left side and also some damage to right side...**Josh Scott was sent off track for not having on driving gloves......was not allowed to return til the next caution...caution two came out for the #6H when he got sideways and then a yellow car rammed into him...I did not catch the number..both cars went off the track....the #31c of Conyer and the #11 of Scott both returned to the track......the number #55 brings out the third caution... ends with Todd Sherman winning...Brad Wieck 2nd and Spille 3rd.....Beem missed going to feature by one spot...

In heat #4 I did not know any of the drivers..........a caution came out right at the start when the #25 jumped the start......**they don't give you a second chance......first mishap..you go to the tail.....caution came out for the #119 for a spin....next caution came out for #30 and #119...next caution for the #52 who spins.... Caution for the #4 who spins........winner is Chris Streeval...Wheatley 2nd and Herbert 3rd.. Rick Curtain missed going to feature by one spot..

In heat #5 you had Brent Mullins, Jesse Cramer, Rob Fuqua, Jason Lakey, Jeff Leka, Mike Marlar, Matt Boknecht, Tim Dierlam..*** talk about a stacked heat....
Mullins got out in front early on and didn't take long for Cramer to make it to 2nd.. Rob Fuqua held on to 3rd for a while and then here came that Leka guy laugh.gif all the way from 18th !!!! There was only one caution in the race involving the #00 of Donohoo and the #B79.... then on checker lap the #47 car spins and comes around and hits Jesse.... Jesse did not stop thank goodness...Jesse was running in 2nd place..I thought they would just end the heat with the checker flag...but no.... they had to take another lap to earn the checker.... Brent Mullins crossed first, Cramer second and Leka third....Fugua who had ran a really good race crossed over 4th missing the transfer spot....

In heat six you had Brent Glastetter......Greg Johnson (late model driver)...Gary Bland...Chad Kinder....Danny Schwartz....Groomer...Smallwood....
Greg Johnson got into the lead early on with Smallwood and Kinder in hot pursuit...first caution came out for #37...it was Johnson, Smallwood and Kinder.... caution comes out again for the #37..he goes off the track...with six laps in it is still Johnson, Smallwood and Kinder then Schwartz and then Glastetter..caution comes out for Groomer who spins.........another caution comes out for the #717 of Fields and the #20 ..........Kinder gets around Smallwood....Cjad took the lead from Greg Johnson and a caution came out before a completed lap for the #20f ...Chad goes back to 2nd....by the checker flag it was Chad Kinder...Greg Johnson...Danny Schwartz........The #2 crossed 4th....

The winners of the heats went out for the Dash...lineup was.....
Hamstra.....Kinder
Sherman...Mullins
Streeval...DeMoss
Dash went off without a hitch................Kinder taking first...Hamstra second..Mullins third...DeMoss fourth ..Streeval fifth and Sherman sixth....

In the E Main transfers were J.D. Francis and Brent Glastetter

In the D Main there was a caution right at start for a pile up of the #7, #21, r1 and 11...the #21 went off the track... Caution comes out for the #51 of Brickert for spinning out while he was leading..to the tail he goes...... Tommy Bailey takes over the lead with Griffis 2nd.... caution two comes out for the #71 who spins after being in 3rd place..... caution comes out for the #75....Tommy Bailey takes the win with Griffis taking 2nd...#37 3rd, Glastetter 4th....Davis 5th and Lilly 6th..

In the C Main...caution came out for the #14c of Rick Curtain and Tommy Bailey....to the tail....another caution comes out....... third caution comes out on restart for the #15 of Branscum who was leading at the time of his spinout.....by checker flag it was Larry Moreland, Sr....#32 of Davis, #82 of Neihaus...#257 of Mike Marlar, #4 of Lee and the #11x of Tommy Bailey....
