AUGUST 26, 2006
J.J. Miller is 21 years old and lives in Vandalia, Illinois..
His number 7 street stock is a ford and has a ford engine...
J.J. started out his racing career at the early age of fifteen and in a bomber.... He went into the sportsman's division at age seventeen.... and last year into a street stock..
J.J. uses the same number that his father John used when he use to race bombers..
He like his cousin Caleb was inspired to start racing because of his father John....
When I asked him what he thought it took to be a good driver he told me that iyou needed to work on your car alot.......and he said to race clean.... you need to be courteous to the other drivers....
His goal in racing is to one day be able to race in the modified division and then hopefully into a late model..
When I asked if there was anything in racing that needed to be changed he told me that it had been changed already.... He said that before UMP took over the street stock division you could not go to tracks like the modifieds could because each track had a different set of ruless..... now he said the rules are the same for all the tracks...makes it a lot easier....
Highlights in his career this year is having 19 wins and leading in ump points for Illinois....He is track champ at Mt. Vernon and Brownstown, Il .... and is 3rd overall in the National for UMP....
The driver that J.J. most admires is Shannon Babb and Darrell Jarrett
He feels that B.J. Deal is his toughest competitor...
His Crew Chief is his father John Miller
Crew members are the Keppler family and his best friend Craig Kern
J.J. said he wanted to give a big thanks to his mom , Leila and his dad John...
J.J. I have watched you race for a couple of years now.... I remember seeing you and Chad Evans going at it at CCS in super streets.... always a pleasure to watch you race.... was real nice to finally get to meet you..... good luck with your racing...
