Ran into several people that I have met thru the season... Pam Huddleston, Matt's grandmother..Sandy and Hunter Shaw... talked with "stitches"...Al Gardner's wife.... talked with Eddie Shamhart's brother...he told me that Eddie went through his surgery really good but he was going to be out of racing for a while... I think his brother is having to tear the car apart to make sure Eddie don't get in it before he is suppose to
..Eddie....please take time to heal !!!! We want you back healthy !!!!Talked with Darrell McDowell.... geez... I wanted to meet Justin Hatten but never made it to your pit area Darrell... I wanted to take a pic of Justin and let everyone know who is writing up those great articles in the Olney newspaper !!
I got to talk with B.J. Deal who is a real sweetheart and my other sweetie Devin McKinney...also great to run into him..... got to meet Tim Feldhake's cute son.... and met Tim Murphy's two grandsons...
Always a treat to run int o Randy McNeely and to talk with him....went over to say hello to Matt Mevert and talked with Larry....real nice guys....
I tried to make the rounds to say hi to as many people as I could.... I LOVE TO TALK !!!!!! AND MEET PEOPLE!!!!

Well.... when you seen all those modifieds tonight you knew you were in for a great night of racing and we sure were not disappointed......
In the first heat you had Schwartz and Steve Adams on front row with Chad Kinder and Collier on second row..Stryzinski and Martintoni on third row and Steve Lach and Randy McNeely on tail.......MAN...you couldn't ask for a more stacked heat..... Denny took off and led the pack around the track for maybe one lap but then Kinder got the lead away from him and never looked back...... the #47 of Stryzinski pulled off before finish.... Martintoni came from sixth to take third with Adams, Collier, McNeely and Steve Lach..
In heat two you had the gas man Jay Jones on the front row with Brian Shaw. .. on second row was Greg Dedrick and Glen Stephens..3rd row was Keyes and Larry Anderson, 4th row was Bradham and Kent Robinson.............early on in the race Greg Dedrick pulled off.....Keyes pulls off....Brian Shaw got into the lead and stayed there from green to checker... Larry Anderson looked really strong taking a second...Stephens third, and Kent Robinson came up from 8th spot to take fourth..Jones finished fifth and I don't have Bradham wrote down so i am assuming that he had pulled off before finish...
In heat three two cars did not make the call... the #32k of Chris Wilson and the #27m of Milligan so that made the lineup...front row #11 of Duvall and #71 of Canon...2nd row was Fox and Mevert..3rd row was Mullins and Claycomb...** caution one came out when the #11 of Duvall spun out..Matt Mevert got charged with rough driving and he was sent to the tail and Duvall got spot back... ....caution two came out for the #71 of Troy Canon when he got sideways....well the #66 got put to tail for causing the spin.............by the time there were three laps left in heat Matt Mevert had come all the way from the tail of the pack to take first over Brent Mullins who had been leading... Claycomb crossed over 3rd and then Fox , then Canon and then Duvall
In heat 4 you had Chris Moore and Matt Huddleston on front row....McDowell and Smith on second row, Seets and A. Lach on third row and Gardner and Vinnedge last row....... ended with Chris Moore taking the win, Huddleston crossing 2nd, Seets 3rd, A Lach 4th, Gardner 5th, Smith 6th, McDowell 7th and Vinnedge 8th
In the consi Collier and Jones was on front row with Canon and Gardner on 2nd row, 3rd row was McNeely and Smith, 4th row was Duvall and Keyes, 5th row was McDowell and Lach
first caution was for the #15 of Collier for a spin in turn 3......when they restart the #15 pulls to infield..
next restart big crash with Gardner, Lach, Canon and Smith... Lach and Smith pull off...
on restart the #47 spins...............caution for debrie... another caution for the #47..he is sent to pit...was his second spin...top four to transfer were Brent Keyes, Jay JOnes, Randy McNeely and Al Gardner..
And the feature.... well I got to say I was disappointed...my man Chad Kinder who had a very strong heat and went off and left everyone to win came out to start on the pole next to Shaw ... on caution after caution he kept shooting off with a good lead..............but...then.... you could see something was not right with the car.....after the last caution it seemed to change....then they got into lap traffic and he was doing ok but Schwartz was gaining on him...he finally got around.... Chad held on for a few more laps and then Matt Mevert passed him by.... they finished Schwartz, Mevert and Kinder.....
...... somewhere along the #n10s of Kent Robinson pulled to the infield...hated to see that happen.... soon after Danny Claycomb pulled out....It was a very exciting race!!!! When Chad started slipping back it took the wind out of our sails...but hey...thats racin.... was great to see Robinson, Mullins, Seets and Martintoni to name a few at CCS... made it all that more exciting !!!!
It was good to see Josh Griffith at CCS tonight.. he has been racing at Charleston... and to see J.J. Miller and his cousin Caleb Miller...
In heat one you had Josh Griffith and Tony Aldrich on front row.... 2nd row was Hines and Bible..3rd row was Boylard and Matt Kelly.. Josh got out in front and stayed there til the finish with Aldrich taking 2nd and Boylard taking 3rd, Bennie Baun 4th
In heat two front row was Hixenbaugh and Mosely..2nd row was Cooksey and Beckham, 3d row was Feldhake and Wheat..tail was Roepke...... at beginning of race the #43 and the #91 crashed but kept going... ..Darrell Beckham got out in front and stayed there til the checker..Hixenbaugh 2nd, Feldhake 3rd and Mosely 4th...
In heat 3 you had B.J.Deal and Mandrell on front row....Payne and Rinehart 2nd row...the #70 and the #7 of J.J. MIller on 3rd row..bringing up the tail was Branham....... early into the race the #33 of Branham pulled off.... the #j73 pulls off with a tire going down..... the #3d of B.J. got out in front and stayed to the end.... J.J. Miller took 2nd and Mandrell 3rd with Rinehart 4th..
In heat 4 Dunlap and Anderson was on front row...2nd row was Caleb Miller and Russell, 3rd row was McKinney and Barnett.... caution came out when the #71 of Russell spun out.. the #7m of Caleb Miller was charged with the spin and he was sent to the tail....ended with Jerry Anderson taking first, Russell 2nd, Miller back from tail to take 3rd, McKinney, and Dunlap...
In the consi Dunlap, Kelly , Hines and Cooksey all transferred to the feature.....
The feature was 20 laps......

first caution came out for Boylard #28.... when they came around a lap and was headed into turn one Boylard's car would not turn ... it just went straight right into the wall..... looked bad but Tina said he was not going very fast.... Boylard did get out of car so was glad to see that....
2nd caution came out when the #4A got hit by another car... did some major damage to the #4A car causing him to have to leave the track..the other car stayed on track....
a caution came out for the #18 of Beckham when he lost his drive shaft.... the 8 pulls of
caution comes out for the #14 of Baum when he spins..
after the #79 of Dunlap had been moving up the line with 3 laps to go he spun out sending him to the rear...with two laps to go the #14 pulls out.....
Now here is the exciting part..... Josh Griffith had got out to an early lead and had stayed there throughout...J.J. Miller had been picking away at the cars and got up to second place.. Feldhakewho had started in 10th had worked his way up to 3rd..... well....... when the cars rounded turn four J.J. Miller got into Josh Griffith and caused him to make a radical spin right before the flag..........he crossed the line going backwards..... this in meantime had caused J.J. to spin himself out and in meantime ..yep.... Tim Feldhake flew by for second and J.J. ended up third and with B.J. Deal 4th... Caleb Miller 5th THIS WAS REAL EXCITING !!! wish I had it on tape....
For the Hornets... the winners of the heats were Persinger, Mike Mandrell, Lynn Lach and Morrison..
Real sorry that I missed the consi... i was in the pit area interviewing Steve Adams......sorry....
In the feature Mike Mandrell won with Morrison taking 2nd and Persinger taking 3rd....
Was a great night.... hope all these drivers will return to CCS.... the bleachers were FULL....
long lines at the concession stands..... they love that....although when I saw Margene..she did seem a little frazzled
