I always love going to Haubstadt... with the sprints being there I decided not to go into the pit area.. there were 38 modifieds there for the $1200 to win...
There was three modified heats..
Heat one you had Johnson, #2k, Webster, Roberts, Turpin, Jay JOnes, Mullins, #8, Denny Schwartz and Boknecht...
A caution came out when the #T1 spun out....at the same time the #2k and the #40 spins out all before a lap is completed...
By the finish of the race Denny Schwartz had slipped up from 9th to take the win,,,, Jayson Webster took 2nd , Jay JOnes took 3rd, J.D. Roberts th and Brent Mullins 5th...

Heat two you had Chad Kinder, #5, #8B, Stryzinski, #36c, Canon, Brian Shaw, #14, Fair, #2A and #33
On the start Chad jumped out to the lead.. when he was passing turn four the rest of the cars all bunched up coming out of turn four and all ten cars crashed with Shaw right in the middle it seemed... the 2A, the 14, the 36c, the 1, and the 5 all went off the track...#5 was taken off by the wrecker...Shaw had went out with a flat tire... all returned to the track except for the #2A and the #5...
caution 2 came out for the #8b
caution 3 came out on the white flag lap when the 14 spun out
Chad Kinder led from start to finish with SHaw taking 2nd, Fair taking 3rd, #36c 4th, Stryzinski 5th, #14, Canon, #8 and #33x

Heat three you had Fortune, Matt Mevert, Danny Claycomb, Maxey, Bradham, Beadles, #63, #81, Jesse Snyder and Flick
caution one came out when the #87 of Beadles spins in turn 4 with three laps in
caution two came out for the #63...before restart the X of Jesse Snyder pulls out
caution three come out for the #81 and the #63... the #81 pulls off
caution four with one lap to go the #63 spins again...he leaves the track
Matt Mevert got out in front and led all the way to finish with Claycomb 2nd, Bradham 3rd, Fortune 4th, Maxey 5th, Flick, and Beadles

the B main lined up
#2k.....#14
Canon...Turpin
Boknecht...Beadles
#8...#8b
#63....Johnson
#33....#5
#2m.....Snyder
Decker
On the first lap the #2m pulled off...after lap 3 the #8b pulled off
caution one came out when the #2k spins out coming out of turn two
**** before the restart of the race...when they were just circling the track the lead car of #2k got in a rut in turn one and it caused him to go airborne and land on his roof..... he got out of the car ok....was Justin Kuhn..
caution two ws the the #33 spinning in turn one with five laps in
on the restart the #T1 of Turpin passed the #14 who had been leading....
the #87 of Beadles pulled off the track with 8 laps in..
The #T1 of Turpin won with #22 of Boknecht 2nd.... ** and what about that Jesse Snyder..he took 3rd coming all the way up from 14th*** then the #14 and the #8.... they all transfer to Feature...

wow ..what a race..... Schwartz and Kinder started on the front row and Chad got the lead.... the #39 of Fortune pulled out of the race in lap nine...Chad hit lap traffic and then a caution came out.... on restart Denny was right on Chad's bumper and I was looking for the bump and run move but Kinder kept control of his car and got out in front..
Kinder stayed in lead from green to checkered ... Schwartz had been in second thru lap 17 and somewhere after that Everett Bradham who had started 9th passed him... the #47 of Stryzinski pulled off..
Ended with Kinder taking first, Bradham 2nd, Schwartz 3rd, Mevert 4th, Webster 5th, Fair 6th, Claycom 7th, Maxey 8th, Snyder 9th from 14th, Shaw 10th, Jones 11th, Boknecht 12th, Turpen 13th, Boyles 15th, Kissinger 16th, Roberts 17th, Stryzinski 18th, Mullins 19th and Fortune 20th..

Was nice meeting you Joe Bean..#8b modified driver.... I met him in the bleachers last night..someone else was driving his car.... I wish I had got an interview with you... hopefullly next time we meet.....

Talked with Sandy Shaw and later after the races we ran into one another at Denny's in Vincennes... always nice to talk with her....

Was glad to see Nicole Bare and Eric at the races.... she has went and got all growed up on me and I see her less and less... huh.gif

When all of us Kinder fans went down to the fence in front of winner's circle the team all came over to us and talked.... That always makes us feel special !!!! Thanks Chad , Will, Don, Eric, Dennis and Jamie....

I too love going to Haubstadt and this weekend was no exception. The racing was awesome, including the modifieds! Normally I am a sprints fan, and the sprints were exciting this weekend also. #56 Fox is a fast fast sprint driver. It was great to see him come from the rear of the field up into the top of the field. This was my first time to see Chad Kinder and Denny Swartz race! They were awesome! Chad appears to have the fastest car of any of the modifieds that I have seen. I was certainly impressed! Congrats to Chad and for the win and thanks for the exciting racing! Looking forward to the next race and hope it brings as much excitement and fantastic racing as this weekend did!
