Boy am I glad we made it !!!!!!!! Chad Kinder made it worth our while........
It is always so much fun going to Flora.... the track looked great..... several fans and several drivers told me the track has been great for the last three weeks.......
When we pulled into the parking lot it was full of cars and the bleachers were full..... had to stand in line at the concession which always makes Margene happy
.... The pit area was full of cars.. there were four heats in the modifieds and a consi.....LOVED IT !!!!! There were some cars in all three divisions that I was unfamiliar with....... *** I think saturdays are going to work for Clay Co....I absolutely LOVE Clay Co !!!! The people there are all so friendly..... I have missed them.... I got to meet one of my members TOMCAT... and you know I love doing that...... Tomcat... it was a real pleasure to meet you !!!! and I got to talk with Sandy Shaw... I met her at Calvert City a while back... was glad she stopped by and said hello....
I got to talk with Julio for a short while... he told me his girlfriend was recently in the hospital for surgery but is at home now...........so glad all went well !!!! Get back out to the track...you are missed !!!!
Ran into Tim Murphy and talked with him briefly....... man.... I go on vacation and look what I missed..... Tim Murphy's first try at being an announcer...... I heard you did real good Tim....
Got to talk with fkkkc too.... she is all excited..... she and hubby are heading to the Brickyard 400 tomorrow...
At break time I ran into Devin McKinney.... unfortunately not under happy circumstances..... he broke during his heat race and told me he was done for the night.... he did tell me what he thought was wrong with the car but I think he was talking in Chinese cause I didn't understand what he was telling me
.. all I know is that I hope it is nothing to serious and he will be back out there next saturday.... I was really looking forward to him racing against Mike Boylard again...After the race I went into the pit area and got to talk with JR Dunlap.....what a cute kid...He was very happy with his 4th place in the feature tonight..... JR told me they had been running into some problems and was glad to finish the race in a decent spot.... he has such a good out look on things and always has a smile on his face.... I am sure he will be back up there in the front running very soon...
I went looking for Darrell McDowell....... tonight was the first time I seen him in his modified.... I found him midway in the pit area and quickly got him to give me an interview..... he was a lot of fun to talk with...
Well.... he is another cutie with a killer smile... I am so glad that I got to meet him... I was really wanting to be there for his first night out with his modified ..but...was on vacation..... I caught his second night and was quite impressed.... looking forward to seeing him again ...and I do have to get that Uncle of yours ..."Johnny Deimal" for an interview too........ does he have a picture of him when he was racing Darrell???? Would like to put that on the site........
I made it over to the #22 pit area and talked with Dennis Waggle and then with Chad Kinder..... it is always nice to talk with Chad... if you ever get to the pit area you need to stop in and say hello to Chad..I saw a young girl walking through the pit area with a tee shirt that Chad along with Chris Moore and Darrell McDowell and a few others had autographed......
As Howie and I were leaving I ran into Randy McNeely... I always enjoy talking with Randy too... Randy looked really good tonight... he crossed over in 4th place tonight with a top notch field of cars...
The racing was good tonight ..........I missed the heats for the hornets but my good friend Gennie Bare kept score for me til I got there...
In the hornets the winners of the heats were Timmy Snelling...Ryan Timmons and Doug Mandrell..
The winner of the feature was Doug Mandrell....Lynn Lash 2nd, Tim Snelling 3rd, Ryan Timmons 4th and Mark Persinger 5th..
In the street stock the winners of the heats were Bob Simmons....Wayne Russell and Mike Boylard..
In heat one the #43 of Bob Simmons and the #32 of Tim Feldhake put on a good show .. they fought back n foth for the first place slot with Simmons winning the honors.... the #00 of Rob Miller was not far behind for 3rd..Roger Boarman came across 4th and Mosely 5th..
In heat two the winner was Wayne Russell..Tony Aldrich crossed over 2nd and the 3rd spot went to Webb..then Chris Rhinehart...Tim Rhinehart and #42..
In heat three right after Devin McKinney rounded turn two he lost something out of his car....unfortunately his night was over !!!! A caution came out when the #41 of Cooksey spins ... Ryan Branaham just verily missing him....it ended with Mike Boylard getting out into a marginal lead and staying there..Paul West took 2nd..and JR Dunlap crossing third...Cooksey 4th and Branaham 4th..
In the feature there were a few cautions... one was when the #3B of Bible gets sideways in the back stretch..he was pushed off field.... caution 2 was when the #4A got sideways collecting Roger Boarman and the #14 ofWest...West was taken off by wrecker... as was the #4A of Aldrich.................the #00 Of Rob West pulls off..
Bob Simmons and and Wayne Russell started on front line.... did not take long before the #28 of Boylard had taken the lead...but here comes #32 of Feldhake.... soon he takes the lead and holds on til taking the checkered flag.... Boylard 2nd, B. Simmons 3rd......JR Dunlap 4th, Wayne Russell took 5th
In the feature there were 4 heats...winners were: Brian Shaw...Jay Jones....MIke Boylard and Chad Kinder...
In heat one caution came out for Shipman and McDowell who collide in turn 2...they have to go to tail...
ends with Shaw first, Anderson 2nd, McNeely 3rd Wayne Russell 4th Dedrick 5th andMcDowell last..
In heat two Jay JOnes started on the pole with Wes Smith on outside..Jay got the lead and never looked back... The number #42 of Steve Lach stayed right with him and crossed over second with the #11 crossing erd, Gardner 4th , Smith 5th and Ives 6th..
In heat three Boylard started pole with the #63 on outside... the #28 of Boylard took the win with MIchael Fox taking second, Snyder took 3rd, #88, #63 and then the #11..
In heat four Kinder and Moore started the front row with Phillips and Stryzinski second row, Shamhart and Keyes was on third row with Steve Adams bringing up the tail..
first caution came out when the #500 of Adams and the #47 of Stryzinski tangled... Keyes pulled out with a right tire going down.... Chad got out in front and stayed there by a huge margin with Chris Moore crossing over second, then Eddie Shamhart, Steve Philips and then the #500 of Steve Adams...
In the modified consi you had Dedrick and Wes Smith on front row...second row was the #63 and Adams..third row was McDowell and a number #11
the first caution comes out when the #22d of McDowell spins coming out of turn one..the #47 of Stryzinski and the I71 spins trying to miss him...
caution two came when the #47 of Stryzinkski spins trying to miss the #11 and the #63 who had tangled..
Shipman hit the backstretch wall and pulls off....#33 of Wes Smith pulls off..
They took the top four to feature wihich were Brent Keyes, Greg Dedrick, Kelly Duvall and the #500 of Steve Adams..... Darrell McDowell missed going to feature by one spot... pretty good for his second time in a modified...

Right at the beginning of the race there was a pile up in turn one with the #66 of Fox, #25 of Keyes, #12s of Shamhart, The #500 of Adams and the #77 of Dedrick.....on restart Brian Shaw was pushed off the track with motor problems....** that was too bad... would have loved to see the two of them battle like old times...
Chad Kinder who had been in second position behind Shaw inherited the lead.... he never looked back...almost got in lap traffic but a caution came out..... ... great job Chad !!! Nice to see you at Clay Co again..........
The #71 of Cannon pulls out.......a caution comes out when Kelly Duvall and Michael Fox tangle .....
The x of Jesse Snyder pulled off before the finish of race....
On the white flag lap the #11 of Duvall and the #12 of Shamhart tangles coming out of turn one....Chad almost got caught up in it...
Finish was Chad Kinder taking the checkered flag !!!! Larry Anderson crossing second and looking really good out there..... the #42 of Lash..... the #5m of Randy McNeely...the #1 of Chris Moore, the #12g of Albert Gardner.. the #77 of Greg Dedrick and the #25 of Brent Keyes......sorry...that is all I got....
Great night of racing !!! always enjoy watching the CCS boys race...
Looking forward to seeing you race that late Model Chad.... hopefully in the next week or so.....
