Wow... what a day.... did not think we would see racing tonight... everyone was getting rained out....
I feel bad for the street stock and the hornets.... they called it when the street stock just started to race...
Too bad for Tim Feldhake who had the pole and was really looking strong tonight....
This was my first time seeing the C.A.R.S.. they put on a good show...the U2 of Danny Jolly won the feature..but that number #5s of Chuck Still seemed to be a really fast car... he got involved in an accident with Tony Boyles and a #71.... had to go to the tail...
Randy Korte was there tonight...I always watching him race... Rodney was in the #R52 of Ryan Dylan..think it is only his second time in that car....Randy and him put on a good show.... that #1s of Rick Salter..... I finally got to see him race.... I heard he got pretty banged up at Belleville friday night and their prospects of racing tonight was not lookin good.....but let me tell ya....whatever was broke got fixed..he looked really good out there giving both Korte and Melvin a run for their money...
My guy Chad was out in his late model tonight for the third time... I am sooooo excited that he is now driving a late model... love watching him in it...... he is still getting the feel of the car ..and you could see the difference from the beginning of the race to the end....lookin good in that late model Chad!!!! Can't wait to see ya race it again!!!! With the rain hitting I was afraid you guys would get stuck in the parking lot....
Matt Mevert!!!!! You ruled !!! There were only nine modifieds there tonight... I am wondering if it had anything to do with the fact that when you called Mt. Vernon to see if they were racing no one picked up.... I am sure the drivers did not want to spend the gas or time to drive all the way there to find they had cancelled.... not many in the bleachers tonight... probably same reason....

Marty Lindeman finished 4th in feature.... did I hear right????? The #23c was Johnny Lindeman??? Who is that?? A brother to Marty??
Jay Jones and Brian Cockrum both had problems with their cars tonight having to pull out of the feature..Hope you get them lined out for next weekend...

I missed "Lois"/Studmuffin"..... was told by #18 Darrell Beckham's dad that both Lois and her husband had some health problems over the winter.... hoping you get back on the right track soon.... isn't right you guys not being there!!!!
In the street stock I got to see Tim Feldhake for the first time this season... He was lookin good...He took first in the heat and I am pretty sure he would have repeated the feat in the feature.....but was called for rain.... It astounds me how Tim races with only one hand.... look in the car and you will see his right arm stretched out across that metal thingy...
Was good to see Darrell Beckham again..... saw Matt Hines there as well as Scott Daughtery I believe...

I didn't recognize any of the hornets... was hoping Timmy Snelling or Darrell McDowell would be there...
All in all it was a great but long day.... we started out the morning expecting to go to Kamp..but when I called there they had already cancelled for the day..... the boys decided they would try KLMS... at 12.30 they were still planning on racing..... we headed down 41 to Evansville and over..... almost to Evansville it started raining........ yep...... they called us back to say that KLMS had cancelled and they were heading home..... sooooooooooo hubby and I was going to make it an evening in Evansville when Dennis called us saying they were heading for Mt. Vernon..... well..... we headed for the Vern...... got there right after qualifying.... glad we made it..... was nice being back at Mt. Vernon.... had been a while..
