Eddie Carrier, Jr is thirtyfour years old and married to Jamie.. They live in Ona, West Virginia..
Eddie runs the #28 Late Model with a Rocket Chassi and a Grover Race Engine... When I asked him if there was a meaning behind his car number he told me it belonged to his car owner... Said his car owner had been a long time fan of Davey Allison..
Eddie claims no track as his home track but his favorite track to run is Knoxville Speedway in Iowa..
He started his racing career out in a modified at the age of nineteen.. He went into the Late Model division in 1996.
When I asked him what had inspired him to start racing he told me that he had always been around racing all his life.... He has a lot of family members who race.... His dad, Eddie Carrier,Sr, his Uncle Bobby Carrier,Sr and his cousin Bobby, Jr...
Driver he most admires is his father Eddie Carrier, Sr.
When I asked him what he thought it took to be a good driver he told me, "You can't like racing...YOU HAVE TO LOVE RACING!!".. He said that you need to be a versatle driver... have to be able to adapt to different track conditions..
I asked Eddie who his toughest competitor was and he told me "himself"...
When asked if there was anything in racing he would like to see changed he told me he was satisfied..
The racing highlights that stand out for Eddie was winning the K C 100 in 2004 and making the World 100 the same year...
Eddie prefers to run the high groove and on a tacky track..
His Crew Chief is his dad, Eddie Carrier, Sr. and a Team Member who supports him totally is his wife Jamie.
He told me he wanted to give a special thanks to his wife Jamie.... and to God
And to his sponsors , Grover Motorsports and to his dad Eddie, Sr and to Carl Grover...
I had an especially good time in the pit area of Team #28... While waiting for Eddie I got to meet his wife Jamie and we really had a nice talk.... So glad I got to meet you Jamie.. You are a very sweet young lady and totally support your husband... I hope I run into both of you again some time....
Thankyou Eddie for taking time out for the interview... goodluck this season...
