Jimmy Mars is thirtyfour years old and is married to Krista.. They have one child Sam.. They live in Menomonie, Wisconsin.....*** and when Jimmy told me where he lived I gave him my paper so he could write the name down

Jimmy runs the #28 late model with a MasterSbilt Chassi and a custom engine..
The track he calls home and also is his favorite track to run is Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin..
The reason behind Jimmy's car number is that is the day of his birthday as well as his brothers..
Jimmy started racing when he was thirteen years old in a street stock. He also raced in the limited and then into the late model in 1991..
When asked what had inspired him to start racing he told me that he just always liked racing..
I asked him what driver he most admired and he told me that he admired all the drivers...
Jimmy told me that he felt to be a good driver you have to stay focused... It takes a lot of hard work..
When asked what his goal in racing was...he told me TO WIN!!!!
Every one of these drivers when asked who was their toughest competitor would say all of them... Jimmy was no different.... These guys have a lot of respect for one another...
I asked Jimmy if there needed to be anything in racing that needed to be changed and he said that there needs to be more corporate sponsorship..
The highlight in his career that stands out for him was when he won the Dream in 1997
Jimmy doesn't care where he races.... whatever is working is where he will be racing whether it is the high groove or the low or whether it be a dry slick track or a tacky track..
