Dan Schlieper is 35 years old and lives in Sullivan, Wisconsin..
Dan runs the #9 Late Model with a C.J. Rayburn chassi and a Pro Power engine
The reason behind the car number.... it was his football number when he played in high school
Dan's favorite track is Eldora
Dan started racing at the age of twenty-one and went right into late model..
Dan's father John Schlieper also raced.. Said he was always around racing growing up..
When I asked Dan what he thought it took to be a good driver he told me that it takes a lot of determination and....... you have to have a smooth head....don't get over excited....
When asked who his toughest competitor was ..he told me "anyone who get on the race track with me".....
The Highlight that stands out for Dan is when he won the World 100 in 2003.
Other highlights include the 2004 World of Outlaws late Model Series Dirty Dozen; 2003 North/South 100 winner; 2003 2nd at DTWC; 7th in 2001 UDTRA points; 1998 HAV-A-Tampa Rookie of the Year
He likes to run the High Groove on a dry slick track
