Andy Pryor is twentynine years old and lives in Vandalia, Illinois... He runs the #10 Late Model with a Rayburn Chassi and a Pro Power engine
Andy told me that he had started out racing in go carts at the age of twelve..He went right into a late model in 2003
He told me that he just loved to race ... that he was a "victim to speed"...
I asked them if there was anyone that had inspired him in racing and he told me KENNY SCHRADER... He said that Kenny was a personal friend of his..
I asked Andy what he thought it took to be a good driver and he told me "you have to have a lot of focus... and lots and lots of determination.........and of course MONEY.. lots of money....
When asked what his long term goal was he told me ' TO BE THE BEST THAT HE CAN BE..."
I asked him who he thought was his toughest competitor and he laughed and told me " Well.... about 50 of them !!!! He added that Brent Kreke was pretty tough..
When I asked him if there was anything he would change about racing if he could he told me that the cost has to come down.... is getting bad.... causing a lot of drivers to cut their traveling down..
I asked him if he had some accomplishments he would like to list and he told me that he had won seven heat races, 1 feature win in a late model and when he was in the go carts he had over nine hundred wins...
Andy's crew chief is Eric Gillian and his team consists of GRC, Rob Robbins, and Lesli Augenstine.
He told me he would like to give a special thanks to all of his sponsors...
a few of his sponsors are K-Motion, Handegan Lawn Service and R & M Drain Service..
Andy told me that he mainly races in the St. Louis Metro area..
Andy was great to get to meet you.. thankyou so much for the interview... hope to see you race again soon..
And goodluck with that West Nile Virus........ I had bird fever a few years ago and it took me two years to get it out of my system.... just hang in there... it will get better....
