Ryan Branham is 22 years old and lives in Flora, Illinois... He is single...

Ryan is in the street stock division... His car is a ford and has a 379 ford engine..

His hometrack is the Clay Co Speedway and is also his favorite track...

I asked Ryan at what age he started racing and he told me that he had been 18 and he had started out racing in the hornet division..... He went into the street stock division last year..

When I asked him what had inspired him to start racing he told me he had always been around it.... He said that his dad, Rick Branham use to help his Uncles Chris Britton and Mike Hilliard work on their cars and he was always there and then started helping too..

The driver that he most admires is his Uncle Chris..

I asked Ryan what he thought it took to be a good driver and he told me "SOME BRAINS"...

When asked if he had a Goal in racing he told me..."I want to just finish a race."

I asked him who he considered his toughest competitor and he told me ..."myself".....

Ryan told me the thing in racing that he feels needs to be changed is not allowing tracks to change their rules in the middle of the season.... If they make rules they need to stay with them through the season then change them for the next season if they need to...

The highlight in Ryan's career so far is finishing 5th in points last year at Clay Co..

Ryan likes to run the high groove but does not care whether it is dry slick or tacky..He likes both..

His dad Rick is his crew chief and his team includes himself, his dad and his Uncle Chris when he can help out

Ryan said he would like to give a big thankyou to his dad Rick for all of his help and support.. also a big thanks to his Uncle Chris who he said has helped him alot.... and to his grandpa Glenn Hensen..

Ryan was a real pleasure to talk with you and your dad Rick.... I wish you lots of luck with your racing...
Hope I am there when you get your first win....cj
