Tim Murphy is 43 years old and is from the Flora area...
He runs the #40 bomber
Tim told me that he started racing about three years ago ...... He started his racing debut in a bomber...
He siad that he had wanted to race since about the age of twenty and had a friend who started racing in the hornet class.... He told me that his wife was the one who encouraged to go for it and is very supportive of him.....
He told me that Jerry Anderson has been a big inspiration to him... Says he has helped him out alot... *** you keep hearing about them there Anderson boys and dad***
I asked Tim what he thought it took to be a good driver and he told me PATIENCE...
When I asked what his long term goal was he told me that he would love to win a "Track Championship:".........
He told me that Jerry Anderson is his toughest competitor.....

When I asked him if there was anything that needed to be changed in racing and he told me that he would like to see a cap put on the rules.... that they would quit being changed..... Said he would like to see the old bombers back out on the track... I told him that I had heard that before but have been told that it is the drivers themselves that keep wanting the rules changed....... He said that is true but that the track owners need to put their foot down... make their rules and stick with them....

Was a real pleasure to finally get to meet you Tim... have seen you race for a while now.... goodluck with that track championship...
