Clay County Speedway
July 31, 2010

What was a very hot and humid day turned into a very pleasant evening at the track...

We left for the track at five forty five pm and picked up hubby's brother and arrived at the track at right around seven pm...

Was happy to see the Greenwood boys and their dad....they are always a lot of fun to talk to...

Also a couple of people I have not seen in a long time were Eddie Shamhart's mom and dad... they are a couple of charactors..was really nice seeing you guys again !!!!

I went back to sit down and saw Craig sitting in his old familiar spot.... so glad to see him.... He is the one who put the results on for all of us until he started following Casey Montaque around this year.... I know Clay County certainly misses him...was really good talking with you...

Lynn Lash came up to say hello... the #35 hornet driver.... he sure has had his run of bad luck this year.... and unfortunately on my way to the car after the races ran into him again and he told me that he thinks he blew his engine tonight.... I feel so bad for him...

Jimmy Bone, jr also came up to say hello....

My good friend and big time Chad Kinder fan.."Carl Welch" was there tonight as well... he is such a sweet heart.... he raced in the 1950's.........go check out his pictures http://www.cjsdirttrackracing.com/forums/i...p?showtopic=282
Always love seeing you Carl....

Was good to see Chad Kinder, Eddie Shamhart and Brian Shaw going at it again... was very exciting.... I saw the #43A Larry Anderson car out there but sure I hear that Michael Bolyard was running it... was good to see Derrick Patton, Kelby Simmons, Bill Dugger, Michael Fox, Kris Wilson, Danny Jolly and the #2... good racing by all..
And like always ... you know you are going to have an action packed race when M J Wheat and Scott Dunlap are going at it...also racing in the street stock were Phil Bible, Kyle Blair, Mike Mosely, Dennis Waggle, #77 and the #17 of Dugger..
Dennis Waggle you looked great ... you made it all the way up to third working the inside...then...went high and started dropping back....when you came to the bleachers to talk to us that is exactily what you said and then I heard Tim Feldhake tell you 'Waggle stay on the inside".... lol..... You were really looking good Dennis...
Also the #17 was Bill Dugger's brother.... would have loved getting an interview with him.... He is getting ready to leave for Afghanastan (mspelled).... Wishing you a safe journey and looking forward to seeing you back out on that track real soon...
In the hornets you have a lot of really good friends who race against each other each week.... hate to see Lynn Lash having the trouble he has been having.. he is such a nice guy.... Jimmy Bone, jr was looking good tonight.... the #45 of McMahon looked really good...
And Rick... it was nice seeing you...
Tim Feldhake came up to the bleachers with this cute young lady... wish I had taken a picture of her.... it was his daughter and is she ever cute.... she will soon be starting college....

I enjoyed the night of racing... very good shows by all three divisions....
Don't forget this weekend coming up....big money show....$1000 for the modified to win...

Unfortunately I wont be able to be there... we made plans to go to Indiana Beach with all our grandkids and kids for the week and wont be home til the following monday... I will have my computer so hopefully somenone will post results or call me with them...
