Jay Ledford is 35 years old and lives in Pontiac, Illinois with his wife Chrissy and two children Jeffrey and Michael.

He runs the #7L modified with a Pierce Chassi and a Mullins Engine
When asked if there was a reason behind his number....he said "Lucky 7"....

Jay claims Fairbury as his hometrack as well as his favorite....

He started his racing career at age 27 and in the modified division...
He said he was inspired to start racing from his friends that raced.....

The driver he most admires is ROGER LONG
Driver he says has been his toughest competitor ....JEFF LEKA

To be a good driver Jay says you need to be smooth.....

His goal in racing is to finish in the top 20 in UMP Points....

Racing Highlight for Jay was friday night, June 4th, at Lincoln, Illinois when he and his eleven year old son Jeffrey both got feature wins......

Jay likes to race the high groove on a dry slick track...

His Crew Chief is Mike Cleary
Crew Members are John Tibbs and Kyle Ledford (his nephew)
