what a crazy race....Anderson pulled out to lead....Harrison, Gouldan, Schwartz, Bradham and Kinder
not sure what happened cause I was trying to write down the running order but when I looked up Kinder had been involved in an accident with the #T0 of Hancock....Kinder's tire was flat....both cars went off the track...
now running order is: Anderson, Harrison, Gouldan, Schwartz, Seets,jr, Bradham, Duvall, Leka, Boylard, Shaw

caution came out for a crash between Bradham and the T2 in turn 4...
18 laps down and 12 to go
Larry Anderson had been racing tough and holding his own in 5th spot when with a little help from I believe the #20 he went over the burm and was turned around.... he pulled off the track.... too bad.... he was looking really good....
22 laps in the books....8 to go....
down to 15 cars............
front row is now Schwartz and Harrison with Leka and Seets in second row...then Crawley and Fox who had both came to feature thru a consi..then Gouldan and Boylard..then T2 and Penny, #98 and Despain..then Lach and Bradham and on tail the #20 of Cody Clark...
On the restart it looked like Denny Schwartz didn't get took off quck enough causing the cars to bunch up resulting in him and Jeff Leka crashing in front of the grandstands.......Denny got out of his car right away and was not a very happy camper.... Jeff stayed in his car til I think they checked his car and seen he had a broken spring..then he got out of his car....after a period of time they finally decided to pull the cars off the track.......

Very interesting night.... need to learn more about the rules of AMS......

....................
I do not like the flagman in the center of the field... he is hard to see and was very late on calling a lot of the cautions.... I dont think he can see very good from there.... and I know it is hard to see him from the grandstands...
The speakers in the grandstands are terrible.... you cant hear the announcer at all...

Was glad they got the race in..... it sure did feel like rain would be on us at any time...but it went north of us thank goodness...

Lot of very fast cars out there tonight... every heat and consi was as tough as the features.... lot of very hard driving....

...........
sorry ... I didnt keep track of the other classes.... I dont know many of the drivers...

wanted to say congratulations to Rob shaw who won the feature in hornets....
I think Lynn Lash was there
Feature:
1..Rob Shaw
2..Wh0
3..#35.......Lynn Lash I think
4..#11
5..#71
6..#0
7..X
8..#79
9..#38

CJ...Last nights flagman was a fill in,,the regular flagman called Charlie at 6:30 and told him he wasn't making it. As far as the place where he stands,,it does suck,,,they have been talking about doing something else but haven't decided yet.
pdljmp1
Yes cj I was there and I did finish 3rd in the hornets with my last years car, still working the bugs out in my new car.

Chad caught a break in the first feature when he brought the yellow. Some people felt he should have been put to the rear on the restart, because it was the 8th lap not the 1st,,,But that 's not my call to make. I know there were some unhappy racers in the pits afterwards.
cj22carcar
yes... Rodney... I didn't realize that was the 8th lap either...was not thinking...cause I knew it was the first lap of race...
but....also....Chad should have had the choice of inside or outside line and was not given the choice... he was leading that race at time of rainout...
so that kind of made up for their bad call on that....

and..American Modified Series needs to be consistent....
suppose to start in between those lines.....at Fayette Co they were very strict about that...at next race I went to they weren't..
in rules it says double line restart in heats consi's and features... ...then i saw a single line restart .. i know it was because the track was muddy on inside.... but they started double line and then let the guy on outside start in front on single line start...confusing....
