FAYETTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
APRIL 30, 2010

Well....once again... leaving for the races we knew that there was a great chance for rain ...and once again it held true...

We left around four and headed to Effingham..stopped at LONG JOHN SILVER..(yummy) to kind of watch and see what the weather would do... while there ran into some more KINDER fans.....

Finally headed towards the track... it spit a little rain .....
They were suppose to start the race at seven but that never happened... the fans were ansey cause we knew it was just a matter of time before the rain would come..

As we were getting our seats Joe Bell's sister hollared at us so we went up and joined her.... then Gennie and Nicole Bare arrived as did a few more Kinder fans...

Wow... the bleachers....they use to be wooden...now they are all aluminum and very nice.... the entrance to the bleachers was a very steep wooden set of stairs... now they have them at a different angle and not as steep.... the track looked great...

I ran into MICHAEL FOX #66 modified driver and the driver #G0 GREENWOOD........they both were there as spectators....
My good friend Carl Welsh who follows Chad when he can was there....always nice to see him...

I talked with Craig (KBC GRAPIX) and told him it was his responsibility to figure out for me how to get my pictures on the website.... hate this program on this new hp computer with windows 7.....He smile and told me he has a mac..........grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... lol...

This race was a $1500 to win 30 lapper and put on by the AMERICAN MODIFIED SERIES...
There were 35 cars there... they split them in two groups and qualified...
CHAD KINDER was very first car to come onto the track....he was fast qualifier in that group with 14.186.....EVERETT BRADHAM WAS fastest qualifier in group 2...

Boy...looking at the qualifying times and the drivers there you knew we were going to be in for some good racing...

In this series when there is a caution it is double line restart..... not too bad at beginning of the race but close to the tail if you have a big lead and then they put you side by side again....not sure about that...... maybe last five laps they should put leader in front and double the others... jmo... lol...like it matters...
When I was in the bathroom I ran into Sandy Shaw and told her that I didn't like the double lineup restarts and she said she did..and that she wished they would also invert to two front rows............ I TOLD HER I WAS GOING TO THROW HER IN THE POTTIE..... we laughed.....

Heat one you had KINDER and BARBER on front row with Crosby and Gouldan 2nd row, 3rd row was Crawley and Keyes ..4th row was Boylard and Larry Anderson and tail was Despain....KINDER got out to the lead right away...then Barber, Gouldan, Crawley, Boylard, Crosby, Despain Anderson ...... caution was throwed... not sure why.....Kinder once again got out in front on restart..... the #43A of LARRY ANDERSON pulls off the track..... Chad was wicked fast......finish:
1..CHAD KINDER #22S
2..MATT GOULDAN #41G
3..BARBER #10
4..CRAWLEY #37
5..CROSBY #0
6..MIKE BOYLARD #28
7..DESPAIN #75
8..BRENT KEYES #25
9..LARRY ANDERSON DNF

Heat two was MIKE HARRISON and Chad Evans on front row, 2nd row Danny Schwartz and #2, 3rd row was #56 and 1*, 4th row #83 and #88 and tail was #20..
This one got off without a hitch with Mike Harrison leading the pack....finish:
1..HARRISON #24
2..CHAD EVANS #59
3..#2
4..DANNY SCHWARTZ #21D
5..#20
6..#88
7..#82
8..#1*

Heat #3 was Everett Bradham and Denny Schwartz on front row....Chris Moore and Jeff Leka on 2nd row, on 3rd row was #49 and Brian Shaw, tail was Tim Hancock..
wow...what a battle for first between Bradham and Schwartz..... caution comes out for the #49 who spins out in turn 3...7 laps down with 3 to go...
front row on restart is Schwartz and Bradham, 2nd row was Leka and Shaw, then Moore and Hancock.... ...Chris Moore got his tire ran over causing him to have to pull out....
Schwartz got into the wall and I am not sure where he finished.... he put a little display of how to do donuts in front of the grandstand ...guess he was a little upset that the wall did not move over for him... ??? not sure??
finish:
1..EVERETT BRADHAM #1H
2..JEFF LEKA #3L
3.KERN
4..BRIAN SHAW

Heat 4 was John Demoss and Lach on front row..2nd row was Duvall and Brent Mullins, 3rd row was #73 and Matt Huddleston..4th row was Tyler Blankenship and Justin Leka......
John Demoss took a commanding lead over the field only to lose it when he spun out in turn two....he had to go to the tail of the pack but he didn't stay there for long..he made it back up missing 3rd place and a transfer spot by inches.....finish
1..Brent Mullins
2..Kelly Duvall
3..#73
4..John Demoss
5..Matt Huddleston
6..Tyler Blankenship
7..Justin Leka........................hey Justin..great seeing you out there in a modified !!!!!!!!

had two conis's with three going to feature
consi one......#20...Despain and Larry Anderson.... Mike Boylard missed out by one spot...

consi two.....Denny Schwartz who got on the top groove and flew around the track missing wall by inches.....Brian Shaw and Chris Moore....missing transfer spot was Matt Huddleston.....

Well... they came out for the feature and we knew they would not get it in
Kinder and Bradham on front row, Harrison and Mullins 2nd row, 3rd row was Evans and Leka...... need I say more....
It was going to be a great race.... Chad Kinder got out to the lead but that #24 was right with him.... ... there was a crash with two laps down with Evans, the #37 and Gouldan... on double restart Kinder got out in front again but Harrison was breathing down his neck.... another caution came out for #73 who spun in turn 2.... Kinder out in front again.......caution comes out for debrie on the track.....
the rain started and that was the end of what was bound to be a nail biter....... very exciting !!!!

It will be continued in June..............................
we headed home in very strong rain and wind...drove out of it by Effingham..... Robinson had a lot of lightning and some wind and not too bad of rain....could not get on computer last night though..
Headed to Danville tonight...hope to see all of you there.... if it is anything like last night you are in for some good racing...
